I just bought some (very expensive) Flint River Ranch cat food for my new(ish) cat.
Had used it a couple years ago with my previous cat until she had to go on special diet.
Had been told by a neighbor how "great" it is. But is it really as great as the price would have me think?
It's not organic and it does have cereal fillers.
I need some help here.
Thanks.

I just looked up the dog foods, as I know nothing about cats and what they need to eat. I personally would not buy it for my dogs as the first three ingredients indicate that there is a lot of filler in the product (flour, rice) and they say that they use meal within the first three ingredients as well.
Yeah, I'd try to avoid foods that have fillers and grains in them.
Since the Flint River Ranch is expensive, you wouldn't mind feeding a different food that's a pricey one, too? If not, I'd suggest a brand like InnovaEVO - no grains, no fillers. Once they are done transitioning to it, you won't have to feed them as much since there aren't any fillers.
I think there is another brand called Wellness that has been suggested a number of times on here. It has a couple of fillers but they aren't the first couple ingredients like most grocery store brands.

I use InnovaEVO now. I used to use Wellness, but it appears that the changed their forumula and now there's a lot of meal in it, so I switched.
