I mentioned some of these on another thread but thought I'd post more in a thread dedicated to nothing but recycling junk into toys for our furry friends.

Cut tennis ball open and stuff with treats. Your dog will chew on it and kibbles will fall, thusly making it awesome. Optionally punch holes in it to release treats when being batted around. First option pretty much just for dogs but the second could work for cats or dogs.

Take a milk (soy or cow or whatever) carton and punch holes in it and either: hang it on a door for kitty to bat around or give to your dog to shred and get kibble out.

Take an empty pringles can and show your dog that you put some kibble in it. Then put the lid on in front of her and give it to her. Will provide hours of entertainment. Not only is it hard to bust into the can, it's hard to get the kibble out. Do supervise this though!

Take a large treat and wrap/tie several strips of cloth (an old tshirt works wonderfully) around it. Give it to your dog and SUPERVISE as she tries to get the inside, out! Fullfills a natural want to eviscerate things. V. satisfying for the dog.

The ubiquitous paper ball for kitty.... most fun, ever!
