Someone brought it up in a thread, I'm not sure who or where, but it might be a good idea. Real newbies are getting totally swamped by old threads, threads of people who are no longer with us, being bumped. If a thread is four weeks old, and the person has not been active for four weeks, why bump it? So I'm suggesting old intro threads, a week or two old, just be closed. Wading through a dozen outdated threads in hopes of finding someone who is actually new is pointless and irritating.

I say "who is going to do it"? Unless it is automated, it is more trouble then it is worth. People bumped old into threads for the VB Challenge, I really didn't notice when I was posting because I had been slacking on the intos for about a month. I feel like I was part of the problem when I didn't mean to be. :(
I don't see you as being one that is causing a problem. It's not anyone in particular.
