The Picky Palate Going Out of Business Sale!

The Picky Palate, an online gift store, is going out of business. I recently ordered a bunch of yummy vegan chocolate, and my package just arrived today...yippee!!! The prices are great, and I think I'm going to place another order before the site shuts down on April 14th. Here's the link:

I hadn't heard of them either, and I agree that it's very unfortunate that the business is not continuing. I actually found out about the site when I accessed VB from work last week, and before I signed in, I saw their banner at the top of the page. I checked it out and placed an order. The package was shipped promptly, and I'm very happy with everything.

i just spent like 20 minutes picking out everything i want to order, had $60 worth in my cart, and then figured out that they don't ship to Canada. bummer :(

Lack of demand? Money issues? or is it just a personal thing?

I placed another order yesterday and ended up spending more than I did the first time! I am so pleased with my first order, and I consider this a great opportunity to try a variety of yummy vegan goodies at super-low prices! :lick:

is it just me, or are the shipping prices rather steep?

I only checked the site out for a few minutes, but I think I picked out an item, just for fun, and it told me the shipping was twelve bucks...

I had all kinds of stuff in my shopping cart over there and went to check out and was blown away. $12 for shipping is too much. I was buying $35 worth of stuff. I'm ok with shipping as long as it doesn't go over 10 percent of my total. The sales tax here is 7.5 percent...I'm cool paying a little more than that. But 12 on 35 is like 35 percent. That's too much. Screw em.

:drool: is right! The truffles were included in my first order, and I tasted them for the first time today...man, oh man, are they ever good!

I just noticed that a few things have been reduced by 75%...I'm going to keep checking the site through Friday to see if there's a price reduction on anything else.
