I discovered this when Mr. Tess brought it home from the grocery store. It was $2.99 for a 10-oz bottle, plus there was a $1 store special, so we got it for $1.99. Haven't tried it yet, but then my taste buds are not very refined when it comes to soy sauce, so I doubt I'll notice a difference. I'm fairly sure this is considerably cheaper than other brands of tamari. Anyone have opinions on buying Kikkoman tamari?

I for one have so many recipes that call for tamari but some say, use soy sauce of you have no tamari. Soooo, I think it's great. I'll def buy some. I have to say that I've never tried actual tamari and if it's kikkomans then so be it.

I used to use nama shoyu (Ohsawa brand), which is a soy sauce that has not been pasteurized. It has a rich, full-bodied flavor like no other. It also has healthful living enzymes and beneficial organisms like lactobacillus. These qualities are what made it so popular with raw foodist.

Note: I am in no way saying soy sauce is healthy. I am just mentioning a soy sauce that I thought might be of interest. I suggest each person do their own research and determine if something is or is not healthy.
