Wow, that sounds like fun. My daughter (16) went to europe last year: England, France, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. She loved it. Make sure you pack a phone card and also find the locations of post offices/money-gram places, just in case you have an emergency and need cash sent to you. From what my daughter said, the restrooms are ok sometimes but the cleanest are the pay toilets.
Have a good time:D

I was in Eidenhoven last weekend, Dutch people are great, they speak English really well. The toilets were fine, most had a full flush/half flush option. It's easy to eat vegetarian out there, I think in Dutch you say Ik Bein vegertarich. I was also in Belgium they can mostly speak English and they are pretty cool too. I've never been to Amsterdam (other than Shiphol) so cant recommend anything there. Just get out and meet some Dutch people.

When my son went to Europe about 4 years ago, he took along his VisaBuxx (http://www.visabuxx.com/) (refillable debit) card. It was great, because not only could we add funds to it from home, we could keep an eye on the remaining balance (and purchases) too. It's accepted pretty much everywhere Visa credit cards are, and at banks & ATMs. They're really handy for teens!

And adults too?.......I don't suppose its really any more applicable to teens than adults this debit card is it ?.......but ya never know, so I'm checking what you know (if any different) :) Besides I can't access the site (http://www.visabuxx.com) at the mo.

VA~goth~UK, I'm not sure if adults can get VisaBuxx cards or not - our bank discontinued their participation in the VisaBuxx program this year, and my kids are all using regular (Visa-logo) debit cards now that they have jobs, paychecks and checking accounts. (hooray!!!)
