If any of you remember any of my previous posts, you know I have issues with back and shoulder breakouts and have had a hard time finding a (more) natural cruelty-free anti-acne soap/bodywash that actually works. Right now I'm using a Kiss My Face "Big Kiss" soap which is doing alright but bar soaps dry out my skin....and shower gels typically cause more breakouts for whatever reason.

So I just came across this product that isn't yet available on the Nature's Gate website but it looks promising....like a natural and cruelty-free answer to Neutrogena's BodyClear and Phisoderm's Body Wash. The only downside is the price: $14.99 for 8 oz!!! OUCH!

I'm surprised it's taken this long for a "natural" skincare company to make a product like this available.

Salicylic Acid isn't animal-sourced is it?

No it's similar to asprin. Also, Neutrogena's body acne wash is vegan, though I have no idea if it's tested.

Thanks bluegrrrl79! :) I've been searching for both a natural face cleanser and body wash with salicylic acid in it. Looks like Nature's Gate is the only brand I've found so far. Unfortunately, their face cleanser comes in an acne skin care kit and isn't sold separately (4 oz face cleanser in a $30 kit...lol...I don't think so!!). :)

I dont know much about Nature's Gate.. I dont see it in my local HFS, but I heard from others that its a great product. As for the acne system.. I think a friend was using it and it helped her. It doesnt contain any parabens or synthetic crap. I believe its all plant based. BUt i dont know if its effective.
