Maybe it's a wheat sensitivity? Is that possible?

i dont each much wheat at all actually. this pasta was buckwheat and something else and the bread is always spelt or rye (live with vegans. moved in without knowing that. we all got along well when we met each other and turns out theres lots in common.lol. great house)? maybe i eat to many carbs. i love them though:)

Do these dizzy spells occur while eating, after eating while sitting, or after eating when you stand up?

after eating while sitting and standing up. anytime. just..after eating. about 20 mins after. could be all in my head and it doesn't happen with everything.
just notice it with those things .

Being dizzy after standing up usually indicated low blood sugar for me. I had problems with that when I was a teenager because I barely ate anything before I got home from school. After every class when I stood up I would see "snow" for a few seconds like on a bad TV channel. After adopting a healthy diet, I haven't noticed that for many years.

What you are describing sounds a little different, because mine wasn't associated with right after eating. I would ask your doctor about it since given your history, most of us aren't qualified to answer your question. At least according to the website, reactive hypoglycemia tends to take about 4 hours after eating, and that's not what you are describing, so I'm not sure what it could be...

it could be a blood sugar spike, rather than low blood sugar..

hmmm ok. and serfina..much as i don't want you to feel dizzy..kinda glad to hear that! ehehe.
i dont know. im tired of figuring all this kind of thing out. i seriously give up. lol.
and i have to go to a family dinner tonight, and screw it im just not even finding whats in there.
last night i got woken up by a friend at 2am who decided to come to my house, once i was up i was starving and ate this huge serve of veggie lasagne..wtih cheese. and now this morning, im starving again. it changes so quickly. i dont know whats going on. and i was gonna eat healthy and then enjoy tonight but all i want is more and more and more.
sorry to whine. im just so confused at this point and i can't seem to do it all right. except that i can...and then suddenly not and AAAAAAAAAAAAA...kaboom (head exploding with calculations and figuring out things and being good)

hey!! im new here!
while your dizziness after a meal COULD be blood sugar related... it sounds like it is blood being used for digestion. when you eat, your blood goes to the stomach and digestive tract to work on your food, so it is essentially being taken fromelsewhere ie:your head. if you eat a large or hi carb or hi sugar meal, it works even harder.
it s also sometimes why you might feel tired after a big meal.
your body is working out haha

hope this helps

I thought the head and major organs had priority. If the body is going to rob blood from anywhere-- It would be the arms and legs.

I have low blood pressure and very high metabolism. My doctor has told me i just need to eat and deal with it..I get dizzy in the mornings, and I get cramps. Might develop Epilepsi but chances are I wont.

Maybe you have high metabolism and low blood pressurr too? I don't notice it after eating though.

Hey taurushead:
I get dizzy shortly after eating certain foods. Sometimes I notice it with pasta. But especially Luna/clif bars, they're the worst. I don't really know why, because I am certain that I do eat things that contain much more sugar than they do, but I guess you just never know what it could be...

I just went to the Endo today and he told me I am borderline diabetic/very high risk, and he prescribed to me Fortamet to help with my insulin sensitivity or lack thereof. Maybe you could ask your doc about it?
