I went for a bike ride this morning for about an hour in the park. I haven't really done any mod/stren. exercise in a while, and today I didn't think to stretch or warm up, and now, just a few hours later, I can already feel the soreness starting to set in my thighs. I know I'm definitely in for it tomorrow. I would really appreciate any advice on how to help alleviate some of the pain to get through the next few days. THanks!

I work at a health institute doing H-wave to help people with anything from chronic pain and circulation problems to muscle soreness. I wish I could give you a treatment! When I was taking trapeze lessons, I'd get so sore and I'd treat myself for about an hour while I was online or whatever and the soreness would be gone the next day. It's really good for pumping lactic acid out of the muscles. And you can carry it around the house with you and do stuff while you're hooked up. (It's a small machine).

I wish so, too! I've taken some aspirin which has helped a lot. Thanks for all the great suggestions. As far as the stretching goes, I think my quads are still too sore for any activity but hopefully I will be able to ride bike again on Wednesday. I had forgotten how fun it is.

If you get REALLY sore, you could always take an Ibuphrophen or two. Not that I'd recommend taking it all the time or anything, but sometimes it can help if you work a strenous job or something.

Is riding the "H-wave" doing intravenous heroin?
Regardless, yeah, I've found stretching helps a little but also getting into a routine where you bike regularly.

What on earth are you talking about? H-wave is a device used to promote circulation and lymphatic drainage. It's muscle stimulation using a special patented waveform that creates dynamic muscle contractions which rinse the tissues and deliver fresh blood and oxygen to the nerves. What's this about heroin?????
