Good news from my newswire...

03/17/06 08:41
(NS-Seal-Hunt)
Sealers from northern Cape Breton are wondering whether this
year's hunt for harp seals is worth the aggravation.
Licensed sealers from the Scotia-Fundy and Southern Gulf area
have been allocated just two per cent of this year's harvest, or
just over 18-hundred animals.
The sealers also include fishermen from Prince Edward Island and
New Brunswick.
The head of the North of Smokey Fishermen's Association in Cape
Breton says with all the protests and the low catch limits, many are
questioning their participation.:pibo:

Good Lord! 1800 little seals is a small crop per person this year? What kind of a bloodthirsty nightmare was it before? I am sitting here crying right now. Please tell me 1800 is the total number of the hunt.
