um...myeas....does anybody else ever get that weird low blood sugary feeling as if theyve been fasting, when they havent??
lately ive had the same sapped energy as when i used to eat very little. but im eating plenty, if not MORE than the average person.
yet i can't muster energy to go to the gym (no its not an excuse, i love it there) and have the wierd headaches i used to get.
any ideas?? or anyone else have this problem?!
i literally feel like im lacking food. not in hunger, my stomach isn't hungry. and not in a 'craving' type way, theres nothing that i want. just in a shaky weird...not enough food..way.
and yes, i now take iron etc. , im vitamised to the max

Are you eating enough carbohydrates?

From what I've seen in the eat to live thread you are not eating way too much or anything. If you are hungry, just keep eating. If you crave somethng, eat it. Feeling tired, though, might come from another source altogether. A non-diet related source. It could also be an unbalanced diet, that can make you feel like you need to keep eating when you are full.

thanks kiz. i do, i eat when im hungry and when i crave stuff. which is why its ticking me off! why do i feel like this again? and its not a 'still' kind of thing. coz it did go away when i ate properly. it literally just feels like im not eating enough. oh well. maybe i just need more none the less. even though its like..above average and ive been sitting still all day. im not still every day. but lately i have been outta sheer shakiness and what not. schmeh.
thats the way the cookie crumbles. shall eat more and FORCE self to excersise. might be just a LACK of excersise, even.

oh i get like that... i literally feel like i haven't eaten, and other people notice my pale face and huge undereye circles... but i am eating enough... sooooo
i asked my nutritionist, and she said that it can take like a year to get your body back to normal after recovering from an ED. i have no idea why, but everyone else at the treatment center agreed... i guess you just gotta work through it... it will get better hopefully... :)

a YEAR?!?!?! oh well. its heaps better now. i still feel shaky and tired when ive eaten plenty so i end up eating probably above average. but im not gaining or anything so ..schmeh.
and healthnut- i actively eat a lot more carbs than i ever did before. SO much bread, grains and veggies. i feel really unbalanced without them :)

i know, i know... A YEAR... but i'm just glad that it WILL get better if i keep eating!!! lol..
i'm kind of alarmed that i'm not gaining (that much) weight... not that i want to, but *normal* people would on my caloric intake... whatever :)
what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. or something.

hi taurushead! it might have to do with food and eating, but there are other things that can cause the things you're experiencing... (this makes me sound like a stalker) but from your other threads it sounds like you have some serious life issues around you that are causing you lots of stress.
anytime someone is stressed, the brain can do some funny stuff psychologically without you even realizing it. just like being depressed might make you lose your appetite, it might make someone else gain an appetite - in the same way, it may be other life stressors that are taking their toll on you, just gastronomically. psychological things can make themselves known in a ton of ways in the human body.
i guess this isn't of much help, easier said than done, but i have a feeling if you were to (somehow) take care of some of the other issues going on in your life right now, you might find yourself back to normal with more energy and more normal eating habits.
hope this helps.

VT- it totally does :) everything you've ever posted in my direction has!! eehee. i didn't really figure there were many issues going on, just coz life is so much CLEARER now. im back at uni, parents are talking to me, the world is grand. the only issue i guess is the boy thing BUT..even that isn't seeming so sucky, just because the rest of life is ok. but i guess..just coz theres LESS going on itt doesn't mean theres nothing, and i do feel weirdly exhausted. and i was actually on my thread to post an update.
passed out. yup. apparently according to the doctor, due to lack of calorie intake?! ive even been COUNTING them and i had 2000 and haven't moved much in 3 days. normally i walk a lot etc but ive been sitting around doing homework and the most walking ive done is to the tram stop to get to uni. and ive read more and watched more tv than i ever have in my life. lol.
how is this possible?!
and i had bucketloads of energy on like 1200 (though admittedly not below that) and theyre a very BALANCED 2000 calories . WHAT GIVES?! damn you body. DAMN YOU. im happy with what its at, i love what i see when i look in the mirror ;) but it feels like its FAILING me coz i want to do so much and can't seem to!! RAHHHHHHHHHH!!!
my new gym membership and plans to get sweating again (love it!) are falling by the wayside..
