Well, over 5 years I've lost 120 lbs. Started at 265, now at 145. :D Did this by running and changing my diet, with the diet changes culminating in a conversion to veganism. First became veg for ethics, and noticed I felt a lot better and lost weight too.

I used to be about 200/210 lbs before switching to veganism 3 years ago, now I weigh roughly 140/145. I weighed 130 last year, but gained 15 back. :( I am still proud to have lost 60 lbs though! YAY. And I will never EVER be that big again. I eat much less now and much healthier.

I put on a bit of weight when I initially went vegan (i think I allowed myself to indulge too much in vegan treats to compensate for cutting so many other things out of my diet) but I've lost it all since I got a grip on my consumption. :)

hmm. ok, my whole bit was before i was vegetarian, and then where i am now (more or less).

when i graduated from college, i was a size 14 and likely about 170 lbs. i can't quite remember. through diet (omni predominently) and exercise, i lost 50 lbs in 6-8 months or so, and then stayed there for maybe 3-4 years?

then, over the last couple of years i've gone from 120 to 130 or so, just moving along the line based on the exercise that i was doing or not doing (changed a lot) and what i was eating and not eating (that changed too--vegan and back to vegetarian), and all of that.

I'm at about 125 now, and i'm happy with that. I felt i was 'too thin' at 120/118, and i feel comfortable in the 120-130 range--and i'd feel ok at 135-140 if it's more muscle but i'm not in a weight training to build massive muscle cycle right now, i'm in a triathlon cycle, so it's likely that i'll be closer to 120 relatively soon.

also, my menstruation makes a huge difference. i tend to bloat up 4-6 pounds for the week before my period. so even if i normally weigh 125, when i menstruate, i'm measuring out at 129 at least. you know? So, i'm ok with anything in a range, really, as long as it's healthy. :)

I am 5' 1" and weigh 139 pounds (down from a high of 152). I would like to weigh 120.

I'm 5 ft. 7 in. and weigh 148. Forgot to mention my height above. I guess that's kinda important. I want to be 130. I looked really good when I was down around 132 two years ago.

I'm 5'5 and 140lbs. I've been up and down in weight the past 6 years. I lost 70 lbs, then gained 30lbs, then lost 25lbs, then I got pregnant and gained 15lbs. I like the weight I'm at now but I'd like to lose those 15lbs I gained and get back down to 125lbs again.

I am 5'8" and weight about 142 lbs. It took me a total of about 6 months to lose 100 lbs (I was thin/average most of my life but then a few years ago gained about a million lbs in 2 months). I want to get to about 110 lbs, but really my goal is whenver I like what I see in the mirror. I achieved my weight loss mainly through disciplined eating and tons of exercise.

Congratulations to all of you who have been losing weight. Way to go!

I'm 5'9" and weigh somewhere between 165 and 170. I'd like to drop 10 to 15 pounds in order to get into better climbing shape. My high point about 20 years ago was 190 and I was down to 135 about 15 years ago. I've been in the 155 to 165 range for a few years but ballooned to 170 after losing my job that had me walking 3 miles every weekday.

I'm on my way down now, but need to keep it up. I'm trying to cut out sweet snacks by drinking fruit teas whenever I crave something sweet. It's working quite well, but doesn't work all of the time. I really need to get more exercise, but haven't found a convenient way to do that yet.

Best of luck to everyone with their health, diets and exercise.

Oh I am 5'3 at 145. I want to be 128-130 which is where I felt amazing and did not look chubby at all.

The fruit tea thing worked really well for me too. I especially like Celestial Seasonings Blueberry tea. I would drink it nonstop all day long to avoid eating when I wasn't hungry. The strawberry is good too. I sweetened them with stevia, which is a calorie-free herb.

I'm 5'5 and currently weigh about 130 most days.

In high school I weighed 90 pounds.
In college I gained up to 150.
Then I started running and have stayed at my current weight for 4 years now. I'm happy with 130.

I would love to weigh 130, but 133 seems to be the best I can do. Right now I'm around 138 so the five pounds have to go! I wish I werent' so hung up on numbers. I prefer to be a size 8, right now I'm a ten. My daughter is getting married in June and I need to fit in my gown!

I have only been a vegan for EXACTLY 2 weeks today!! But I actually gained about 10 lbs in those two weeks from going vegan! I love veggies, but I think I have been overdoing the veg treats. I joind e-diets to get some great recipes so now I'm on a roll downward, I hope.

In high school I was 185, college 195, then Sophomore year I decided I needed to stop weighing more than most professional boxers and lost 50 lbs over the next year getting to 145. I'm currently 5'4'' and 155 wearing a size 8. Ultimately I'd like to be 145 again and back in my size 6s. I'm a semi-pro cheerleader and a pro personal trainer so how I look really matters in my situation. :D

I'm 5' 3" and was 154lb at my heaviest and got down to 116lb about five years ago.

I'm trying not to weigh myself too much at the moment but I was 132lb when I weighed myself last month. I'd like to be somewhere between 110lb and 120lb but I'm more interested in being healthy and not getting calorie obsessed so I'll just see where I end up (but I'm guessing it will be in that region knowing my previous weights and eating habits).

I am 5'3 and I just weighed in at 180, which is pretty big. I'd LIKE to weigh 130, or 115....or 95 :p but for the time being, I am trying to lose 30 lbs. in increments of 10 lbs. to be at 150. I think that would be a good place to start, and I've weighed 150 and looked ok, even though it sounds big at 5'3. I do really well with exercise but terrible with eating! Its hard.

I drink the teas when I'm hungry and water when I'm thirsty. My favorites so far are Raspberry Zinger, Black Cherry Berry, Cranberry Apple and Orange Tangarine Zinger. I'll give the Blueberry tea a try sometime.

i too have gained since going vegan two months ago. but i think that has a lot to do with not having a job and sitting home all day...A LOT. lol. my biggest was at 220 lbs at 5'6" and then i lost weight moving and living on my own to 200 lbs, then i went on atkins (before i was vegan) and lost 20 lbs, so i was down to 180, but i have since put that 20 back on up to 200 lbs. 10 of it from def doing what others did when becoming vegan...indulging in the vegan "junk" foods, to compensate my cravings.

i'm hoping that since i'm in the process of getting hired now, i will finally start losing and be motivated to work out more.

i wish i could stop eating processed foods altogether:wall: , and i would like to be down to 130, so yeah that's 70 lbs...but i take it 10 at a time.

I'm 5'9,1/2" and weigh probably a touch under 150lbs. I used to be chubby.. my average weight between when I was about 12-16 years old was about 185lbs--my height barely changed in that time. I certainly wouldn't call myself skinny at the moment (I have very little muscle), I guess I might fall under the category of slim. I'd like to eat healthier but have a few barriers in my way at the moment (namely my roommates keeping the kitchen a disgusting mess that nobody in their right mind would want to cook in), but don't think I'll make losing weight a goal.

I'm a big boy...

I'm 5'10-1/2" (although my driver's license says 5'11" :p ) and currently weigh 240 (down from 252 at the beginning of the year). My goal is 172 for a total loss of 80 pounds. That's a scary number, but I know it's do-able. the last time I weighed in at around 170 was almost 20 years ago in college. The scary thing is, I thought I was fat THEN... the mind is a tricky place...

Wow, can I ever relate to that! I was always a pretty huge kid. Around 13 or 14 (and at 5'7" tall), I got fed up with it and went from probably about 215-220 down to 138 at my lowest by age 16 (5'9" tall by then). Even though I had lost about 80lbs and my clothes size was considerably smaller, I still wasn't happy and thought I looked exactly the same as before I started. Skip ahead 3 years and lots of depression, medications, and lifestyle change, and I'm back to square one :(

I've been really struggling for the past 2 years with my weight and still haven't lost anything worth mentioning. I know I will never get back down to 138 again - because it was really hard to maintain it... and I mean hard as in eating only 900 calories a day and exercising 'til I passed out. However, I would like to lose no less than 40 lbs. It seems formidable right now, but I've been really trying hard lately so I'll see where it takes me. Right now, I could kick myself for ever thinking I was fat before. I wish there was some way that my past self could see my present self in order to knock some sense into her and scare her into NOT letting herself go like this.. oh, how fitness is wasted on the young....

I'm 5'5" and hover around 125-130 at a size 4. I would like to see 119 at a size 2. My highest weight was while pregnant with my youngest at 183 lbs., I was on a SAD omni diet and used pregnancy as a license to eat a ton of fatty sugary food.

I am currently a high raw vegan and do cardio and weights 5-6 days per week.
