Okay, so we have these threads where we post what we ate today. Exercise is important too, so I'm starting a thread where we tell what we did for exercise today. Include any kind of physical activity. We can get good ideas and tips from one another. And it'll encourage us to keep up with exercising.

So, today I walked the beach for 45 minutes for my exercise.

Do you lift six days a week, SeaSiren? For how long? I lift too, but only three days a week. What do you do for cardio? I like the stairclimber.

I lift for 3 and do cardio for 3, cardio days are also ab days. My cardio is 20-30 minute interval training on the treadmill. I REALLY like a climate controlled environment!
You can see what I did this week here:

Today I didn't have dance so I did:

30 minutes of combo running/walking on the treadmill
35 minutes cybex (it's like a stair climber meets eliptical. . .my favorite thing)
30 minutes of pilates/stretching/light weights combo

I love spending saturday mornings at the gym. It destresses me plus I get to go sit in the hot tub for a few minutes afterward if I have time. Ahhh. . .

I didn't really do anything today. I went shopping and the most strenuous thing I did was carry a new tv we bought up the stairs. It was heavy, but still I need to work on getting more exercise during the weekend. I do really well during the week!

Excellent!!
Thanks for both ;)
Especially the 'whip'..LOL ( i have been working out extrememly hard the past few weeks so I htought I deserved it) The reason for the hard workouts is that I am going to ECA (www.ecaworldfitness.com) in a few weeks and have a VERY GOOD chance of being an assistant for one of the presenters. This would be in front of a few hundred people performing exercises of intense levels. This person I will be with is a former world fitness champion, instructor of the year and one of the top presentes in the world. I BETTER BE READY FOR IT!

gymnastics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for 2 hours. i love this gym.

yesterday i spent god knows how long on my elliptical in my home gym. i don't really like that kind of gym, though, it's boring... but i'm addicted to the elliptical... does it really burn as many calories as it says it does? it doesn't feel thattt strenuous. and yes, i put in my height/weight and stuff like that.

All the machines in the gym will tell you how many calories you burned, but becasue they are electrical and depending on the age of them, they are not 100% accurate. Keep working hard, crank up the level and keep up the RPM's for a good 30-45 minutes 3-5 days a week and you will see and feel the difference. As always continue to make healthy choices! :)

this thread is giving me motivation to do something active everyday for now on. i started today by playing basketball for one hour with my brother. I realized im a little out of shape because my shooting arm is already a little sore :D

i need to hit the gym! all of this focus on gaining weight made me sort of afraid of the gym but i think since eating more healthy foods isnt working im going to try and gain weight by starting a lifting program. Should i have my mom talk to someone at the gym for me (she works there) or should i wing it and just lift some weights on my arms and legs and do some cardio? I truly am clueless when it comes to this
