I have recently bought large wallet/folders to keep all my CDs and DVDs in. They save so much space! My brother keeps his old boxes from these in the loft, ... but I don't see the point in storing them. I don't want to throw them away though, and I don't think that plastic can be recycled.

Any useful ideas??

Much appreciated. x

well, the first thing that comes to mind is if you ever have to buy cd's so you can burn stuff onto them, just use the old cd cases to store instead of buying new ones.

Thanks for those really useful links Jenna. I especially like the idea of giving them to the library.

I used an old one to store my eye shadows. I had lots of single colors and I pried the pans out of the holders and combined them into one CD case which holds all the colors. I even fit some blush and some applicators in there. You can glue them in place so they don't slide around.

Wow - that is an amazing idea! I have loads of single eyeshadows etc (burts bees samples etc) ... I'm gonna glue the into a case. Cool :D

check out freecycle. your city/town or region probably has a freecycle website. you join and then give away stuff and also sometimes get great free stuff. it's a way to keep things out of landfills.

check out www.freecycle.org or com and then find your city or area. or google freecycle and your area.

With CDs that I burn from my computer, I usually just stick them on one of the spindles that CD-Rs and DVD-Rs come on. It saves space keeps them fairly safe. Obviously this isn't the optimal solution for music CDs but it works really well for data... for me at least

I second the freecycle idea. I always need cd cases and I am sure that I am not the only one.
