Hi friends,

Owing in no small part to my husband's urging, I am finally joining the ranks of "grown-ups" who own stock. I wondered if any of you knew of publicly traded companies that are either veg-friendly, eco-friendly or at least colorably socially responsible.

Thanks in advance,
Audrey

I have an old collection of links on this. I haven't looked at them in a while, but I'll post them.

Kelloggs owns what was once Worthington Foods. You may know them from the Morningstar Farms brands. Other options are Hain, Tofutti, and Gardenburger. Be careful of the last one though. They recently declared Chapter 11, and the stock may be worthless. Some speculators purchase these stocks, thinking that they may re-emerge.
