Well there are lots. I grew up with animals and nature. I always was very sinsitive about seeing animals hurt, but I never went veg*n because I didn't know of the cruelty in the farms, but now that I do I'm sick everytime I look at meat. Also my bf is Veg*n and I promised I'd try it. I love it. Besides it's a healthy change. So basically it's because I love my bf, I go against animal cruelty and I want to be healthy.

For me it's because of the enviorment and the treatment of animals.

Cuz I have never been able to look at raw meat without being sick, and I don't think you should eat anything that you can't look at, no matter how it tastes...Plus I have always LOVED animals and couldn't stand eating their flesh. And also the whole rebellion thing, but not that so much. Vegan because of PETA's meet your meat, then more research since PETA is BIASED!

Yeah they are pretty biased. I had to do alot of researched to see if it was right for me besides at Peta. My mom's just grinding her teeth through it so don't feel bad, wow.

I don't know or care about the rest of 'em, but personally I support PETA. I'm an ARA and believe that peta plays a vital role in the movement. With great outspokenness comes great dislike, that's just the nature of the beast. Can't please everyone.

Mostly animals, and health.
I support peta, but I agree they are biased. Obviously they won't tell people both sides of being veg*an.

I support PETA but think that the lies and exaggerations are unneccesary. A lot of what they say is true but only sounds bad, and others are playing on peoples' other beliefs and opinions. They are way commercial (Sexiest Vegetarian Alive Contest? WhatEVER!) and a bit drastic (ie killing animals instead of taking the time to find them good homes). So, yeah.

I think Peta is a good basic idea, but I think they're biased and exagerate abit. I support the idea tho. I could never hate something that worked for animals and veg*nism.

Semi-ironically, when I first tried out for vegetarianism, it was more or less for the sake of trying something new- which works in its own way, actually, because although I eliminate my diet to some things, I end up trying a lot of other good, healthy stuff that substitutes the meat in my diet. I think I also went veggie partly for the sake of being a vegetarian- there wasn't much reasoning behind it all, moral, ethical, whatever.
I do think I had felt more of a connection with animals, though, and as our dog had recently died, perhaps I was rather disinclined to eat any other dead animal. So maybe that's why I started. Anyway, later on I began to feel more like a vegetarian and more connected with the reasons for becoming one and such... just not right away. Isn't that weird? ;)

I love animals and the enviroment, so eating things that were once living their own life was creepy. For me, I never really got the whole "eating dead animals" thing, so I never at much meat. When I was old enough to go on the internet, I found PETA and other information on animal cruelty and became veggie right away. So it was a moral thing first and formost. The healthy aspects are a plus!:D
