:help: I have an insane college schedule this semester. I work out starting at 10:05a.m. until 2:15p.m. with about a 30 minute break. It usually ends up being about 3 hours and 45 minutes or sometimes 3 hours. Anyway, I subject myself to this twice a week and always try to work out on the weekends for a total of 4-5 days that I am very active per week. I have gained weight which is good cuz I think it is muscle, but I am wondering if I get enough calories/ if any fitness health experts know how much I should eat/ how many calories I burn those days, etc. ?? My gym classes are Taekwondo and Fencing so it is a pretty hard core strenght training/ cardio workout. I always eat a good breakfast (yogurt, fruit, cereal, milk), (a sandwich & lowfat chips )for lunch gatorade and a luna bar for a snack and fruit for a snack as well later and a healthy dinner. I wonder if I should snack more/ how much I should consume? If anyone could help me out that would be great because I often feel weak and am always hungry now. I also weigh 95 lbs. and am about 5'2 & a half inches tall.
Anyways thanks for listening those who read this, sometimes I am exhausted and I need all the help I can get to make sure my body is healthy.

If you're hungry eat! That is a low weight for your height. You should add several snacks to your day and probably "beef up" your lunch as well.

www.bmi-calculator.net will calculate your basal metabolic rate (the rate at which you burn calories) based on your height, weight and activity level.

BMIs are pretty unreliable though.

What are you doing that you are active from 10am until 2pm?! And why exactly are you subjecting yourself to this? 95lbs and 5'2 is pretty low. You do know all of the detrimental health effects of being underweight, right? I'm not trying to scold you, I just want to make you aware that this may turn ugly if not taken care of.

I think you definitely need to eat more during the day. In an hour you could probably burn about 500 calories during high intensity workouts per hour. You need to eat like, 3x what you are eating right now.

healthnut32, I think you posted the wrong calculator.

here's a BMR (not BMI) calculator. make sure you scroll down and add in your activitys as well....

healthy weight for 5'2" is 101-136 :D

Thank you for the tips :). The BMR calculator is very helpful. I will try to eat more it's just hard sometimes. I didn't realize how much energy I actually burned. woah lol.
