I don't know if this is a new product or if it is just a new product in my area. At any rate, I purchased this in the frozen natural foods section at Kroger's for about $2.30. It is a wrap filled with scrambled tofu with veggie bacon, vegetables, and soy cheeze. It is not, however, vegan--the soy cheeze does have casein.
Overall, this product would do in a pinch. I heated it up this morning for breakfast and I would recommend doing it in a conventional or toaster oven if you have time--I did it in the microwave and it turned out soggy and I wound up having to micro it for longer just to dry it out some. After the first bite, I realized it would need some salsa. It just had a kind of strange taste. Oddly, I did like the bacon--and I've NEVER been a bacon fan--even the corpse kind.
I wound up not eating about 1/3 of it because I just couldn't stomach it. Not that it was atrocious, but it just wasn't my cup of tea. And for the price, you could make yourself about 5 of these at home and stick them in the freezer for busy mornings.
