Hi Hamster!

I hope you guys don't mind that I started the thread a day early. I figured since we doubled up on last weeks thread it would be OK to start a new one early.

Let's see, I ran 10 miles last Sunday, 3 miles speed work on the mill Tues and Fri, Wed & Fri was my weights work out. I'm supposed to do a 12 miler tomorrow but I've decided to do it on the treadmill instead of outside as it was -15 degrees this morning with a -40 windchill. It will be warmer tomorrow but not much....to cold for me. It hurt to breathe.

Gnarly!!! Great to see you again!!! :hi:

Go Hamsters!! :hamster: :hamster:

I have not posted here in a long while- that does not mean I have not been working out though!

I only jumped rope for 30 minutes because my mom called (there are some people who I will ignore, but not her). I am going to do some yoga and strength training later on.

I was actually on my way to the gym when my neighbor stopped me and said my dog escaped and almost got ran over the other day. I found her escape route and had to go to home depot to get stuff to repair the fence.

There's only so many hours in the day, so I skipped exercise today. But I'm going bowling tonight!

Good hamstering by you guys, keep up the inspiration!

I went to a 1.5 hour hot yoga class. Feels good.

Yeah, I know the feeling Tweety.

I went to my 1.5 hour jazz dance class on Monday and it felt great.

Then yesterday, I did about 60 - 75 min. dance practice. My liturgical dance team is doing a fun african dance for Black History Month, so thats what we worked on. The dance is actually similar to doing aerobics in terms of the type of exercise I get from doing it.

Today - nada so far. Unless you count the 10 - 15 crunches I did this morning. I usually do a lot more but I didn't have much time this morning.

4 mile run. As usual (I guess I need to get used to it) I was chased down by dogs on the way back.

Hi Hamsters,

12 miles on the treadmill Sun, I pulled something so I took off Mon and Tues. It's all better now. Yesterday did my wieghts workout and went for a run with my son who is becoming quite the runner. My instructor for my weights class is focusing on legs this week. My calfs feel like someone hit them with a baseball bat....ouch. Don't think I'll run today...it hurts to walk.

Captain, I hate when people don't have their dogs under control. I have been chased many times....sometimes I worry for my saftey...other times I worry the dogs will get hit by a car as they run out into the road after me.

Great job Hamsters!! Go Hamsters!!! :vebo: :hamster: :vebo:

This week I've been pretty active. Ran/walked for 50 minutes on the treadmill on Monday, exercise bike/treadmill for a total of 30 minutes plus a Body Pump class on Wednesday and another 50 minute run/walk on the treadmill last night.

I have a fun run coming up in April and I'm stepping up the running in practice for it.

Pepper spray solves many dog problems, Captain :shifty: But you just have to make sure you can aim well spontaneously!

15 mile bike ride yesterday and 6 mile run today :)

I have runner's knee. I think my knees have improved. I bought some braces and decided to walk on the treadmill, but of course I had to try a little jog. the knees are ok, but I had the wrong shoes and could feel my shin splints starting to come back. So I did some weights and a Pilates class.

8 mile run today, and somewhat more walking than usual. I'm absolutely exhausted from a busy (but good) week...I think I'll have myself and nice early bedtime tonight so I can recharge for a busy weekend!

Go hamsters!!! :hamster:

4 mile run yesterday where once again a dog jumped over the fence and chased me down. I've started running into the mountains but there are mountain lions there so I always have that thought in the back of my mind.

Slynny, I haven't ever, ever had a single dog problem before moving here. This is just crazy.

Today: hiking on a nice trail near Joshua Tree. There was a nice stream flowing in the middle of the desert. I couldn't beleive it! :)
