you know those tv dinners you can buy, well my mom bough a fried chicken, potato and corn frozen dinner, and when she cooked it i noticed that the chichen is extremly greasy, I mean more than chicken should be. when she picked it up to take a bite, grease just dripped from it. It was gross. Since iv been meat free for almosta week now my body is used to it, i would gag if i had to swallow that.:spew:

who else thinks this is gross? and have you ever watched someone eat a piece of meat or chow down on some ribs ands felt ill?

yes. Almost all the time. Very rarely does meat look appetising now.

Yuck, meat always looks digusting. Everyday at school I see people's greasy pizza with slices of pepperonis all with a puddle of grease on them. It amazes me how one can put that in their mouth every day.

It not only looks disgusting, but it smells awful too. My brother cooks fish and chicken and beef and I can't stand the smell of it. It smells like a dead animal. Hey, I guess that's what it actually is! Who would want to eat a dead corpse? I'll pass.

The thing that grosses me out the most to look at are these sausage things my mother cooks in the microwave. They are so greasy that they turn the paper towel on top of them an orange color and a thin layer of grease covers the plate she puts them on. Gag just the mental image makes me want to hurl.

the site makes me want to eat it but the smell is just disgusting!!! its like someone got buffalo **** that got eaten by a -40 year old virgin and vomited out his mouth only to be eaten again by a 7 year old train conductor- and disguised it as food. so one time the staff at our school was having a luncheon<ihatethatword< and they were having fajitas or something and i almost barfed all over the floor and on mr. ryans bald head. buuuut i restrained. babedibabababababababoo.

I think pepperoni is the grossest looking of them all. they look like monster sized zits *shiver* 'Specially whenever I see them on pizza, I get this incredible urge to buy some proactive solution for it (the pizza)

There's pictures in my spanish book of raw meat and chicken, la carne y el pollo. It's really gross looking, I guess the people who made the book wanted to get the point across. Today in class we were talking about how in other countries people buy fish that hasn't been cut or anything so they could tell from its eyes if it was "fresh". And the was a nice visual of a dead fishie to go along with our discussion. Yuck.

meat could perhaps be one of the most disgusting foods people eat. All vegetarianism aside, if you look at a hunk of meat, and the grease that often comes with it, it looks nasty. I still find myself liking the smell, but i think that's mainly just the spices my mom cooks meat with. but i've reached the point where if i watch someone put a piece of meat in their mouth, i have to work very hard not to gag or make a face...it's just so disgusting that people can shove the leg of a chicken in their mouths and tear it off the bone. It's really quite disturbing....
In my social studies class, we watched a video on India, and for a few minutes, they talked about the markets, ande even showed the meat parts where there are skinned animals hanging by their legs. To tell the truth, I was ready to throw up. I had to look away and breathe slowly. And you know what? The next period, I saw my friend (who was in that class with me) chowing down on a hamburger.....*shudders* I will never understand the mind of an omni again.....and to think, i was like that not too long ago...
wow, this is a really long post....sorry about that :)

Hmmm, I cook all kind of meats in Culinary Arts. Actually, the teacher was trying to push me over to the veggie stuff, where he would have me chop the vegetables or whatever else there was to do. But last week we were making meat balls, and I asked if I could mix the meat, he looked at me and said "I don't know if your joking or not" after mixing the meat with a few spices and raw eggs and the such, I was really proud of myself, because I knew that at some point I would have to learn, and I finally had. And then, on thursday, they had to be cooked, so I was one of the flippers. I smelt like hamburger all day, which was gross.

And whenever I cook meat, it makes me appreciate being vegan even more then before. I see the blood and greace and fat and... well, it makes me happy to think that those things are NOT in my body. Plus, it's so much more dangerouse to eat meat/dairy/eggs then it is to eat veggies, b/c you can contract so many more foodborne illnesses with meat that you can't elsewhere. It just makes me feel safe.

I used to be the biggest carnivore I knew! I loved eating the ribs my dad made and tearing the flesh off with my teeth and licking the bones clean. Now I think about it and see the rest of my family doing it and it grosses me out to no end. I still kinda crave the sauce on it though, and the barbequed-ness of it. but not the actualy meat and bones GROSS.
I also liked my steaks RARE. I even said "I like it alive and kicking!" Very savage, I know. But 'Meet Your Meat' slapped me in the face, turned me around and shoved me into my new lifestyle. I can't believe I used to eat all that JUNK! and enjoy it!!

each week, my fam stops at the grocery store on the way home from church, I'll mention to my rents that I want to get a few things, and then i review with them what i want, and when we get there. i peel off on my own and get what i want, finding the cheapest things i can. my rents usually pay for it though. as soon as i get my driver's license, though, i'm gonna go shopping on my own, because currently i have like ten minutes to FIND and get what i need. once i reach that point, i'll probably be paying for most it (though i don't have a job...i wonder how that'll work)
but anyways, do you do your own shopping, Princess?

Yeah, I still crave the actual taste, but it's not the meaty taste (yicky!) I crave the spices that were on it, but the longer I'm veg*n the worse meat looks and recently I don't really even crave it anymore because the mere thought is repulsive, ya know? The thought of shoving some cow innerds in my mouth with all the greese and fat and who knows what else just makes me sick. I used to eat meat atleast twice a day and little snacks around the edges like Pep pizza pockets or chicken nuggets and things like that. Now I look back and just want to gag. My friends (most) just shove it in their mouths and don't even look at it. I've always thought meat was grose looking, but it didn't really bother me because I just disconnected it from myself and ate, now I can't stand it. Meat is really grose looking.

I actually don't mind meat taste- I mean, I'd absolutely gag if I had to eat it again, I just don't want to go there again, but I won't lie, I DID enjoy the taste of meat when I ate it. That's why I do my bestest to find meat substitutes. I eat a lot of featballs (fake meatballs!) and ficken (fake chicken) and furky (fake turkey!), and I've found that smoked (vegetarian) cheese can taste a LOT like meat, because a lot of meat is smoked. Also, meat subs (substitutes, not sub sandwhiches! lol) from the grill can be lovely, too.

Yeah, when those commercials shove roast beef and all that stuff into your brain, up-close on screen, I usually find myself naturally just looking it over and going "Hmm, middle section not so good, but ooh, those veggies look nice..." :D ;)
