Hooray! today was a good day to be a hamster. First, I did abs of steel. abs of steel is broken into 3 programs to do one every day. Except I did all three.
Then I did my little walk/run around the block. Then I went to softball practice!
hooray!

I did my jog today. Yipeeeeeeeee! This could be the second week in a row I run three times. I know it's nothing to a lot of you, but it's really neat to me.

Yeah Hamsters!!

You guys are kickin butt!!

Yesterday was a lovely day... I sat out in the sun and 75 degrees, painted a bench, and drank beer....hehehe it was a nice day.

Today I streched and crunched....nothing to be compared to the crunch master funk!...but as many as I could. I still have to find a bar I can do some pull ups on too

Sky, They don't have a garden site here but I thought about starting up a garden thread... I just don't know were to put it? In the mean time e-mail me with your garden stories, I'd love to hear them:D Also thanks for the wrap advice!

Captain, I sure know what a drag it is to get hurt! And doubley how hard it is to stop when you are so psyched to complete a planned run. I tryed to run farther my last run...I was lucky my hub made me stop or I would have done more damage. With regards to your runs do you have newer shoes? That might make the difference?

The rest of you Hamsters Rock!!!

Keep up the great Hamsterin :D

3 mile run.

Slynny, my shoes are on the older side and they give me bad blisters every time I go for a run longer than 3 miles. I am thinking I need to spend the money on new shoes. That may help. Plus the ones that I own aren't made for running. Maybe I should check out ones that are designed for running. The blisters certaintly don't help my runs, thats for sure. :)

CaptainSwab,

*Please* get running shoes!! Largely due to the cheap shoes I had years ago I ended up with a nasty knee injury that kept me off runs for a year. It's definitely worth paying for the real running shoes. :)

Take care,
Mskedi

Hi Everyone!

Hey CaptainSwab or any bike riders, do your hands ever get achy after a long bike ride. I woke up with the achiest hands and and fingers. I must have had a death grip on those handle bars.

I biked 8 miles this AM. I was only going to do about 3-5, but I then I kind of went exploring and ended up doing the 8.

Nothing yesterday....

Today : (this morning) 20 min running
10 min jumping

Later: 2 hours of walking

I walked to the mall at the other side of the island, I could have taken the usual road, but that's only 6 km, so I took another road, adding some route by taking a detour at the end.

It amazed me how trafficated this road was, I couøn't believe how many trucks and buses were driving by, and the exhaust was pretty smellable (s' that a word..?) quite often.

Still, the lanscape is nice, allthouh it has been a grey rainy day.
Seems like the sunshine has left for a while.

Sky, yes, sometimes I have that problem too . Also, sometimes my wrists get achy too from the weight of my body leaning down on them. They get used to it though. :)

Bahh! I'm angry. How can anyone do 1000 crunches?!?!?! *stomping feet* I think I have a new goal....
Yesterday: 30 mins stairmaster, lower body lifting, 350 crunches (they leave me in the dust! :D)

Today: 3 mile run, 30 minute walk, hour long aerobics/weight class, upper body lifting.
Tomorrow I am doing more abs. I've always been bad about abs.

Actually Funkified, you are going to laugh at me.....
I do alot of biking, but my bike is the cheap K-mart special moutain bike from when I entered college. I live by the beach so its even all rusted up and its an ugly pink color (but hey it works against people stealing it) :) . I think I spent about 60 bucks on it. However, it gets the job done and works pretty well. I'm used to it too, so it doesn't bother me. At the triathlon I competed in, there were other people there with bikes like mine too so I know I'm not the only one who trains on a crapy bike.

I also have a stationary bike for when the weather is bad.

Today: Nothing! I decided I needed to rest. :)

Hi Funkified! I have an inexpensive Huffy Overland mountain bike that I ride on the road. It probably cost less than $100. It's actually my daughter's bike because mine got run over. Not all the gears are working on this one. I'd like a new one. I think I need a bigger bike. This is a 26". I have really long legs and it feels like my legs are cramped even though I have the seat set pretty high.

I have no gear, not even a helmet. I think I should get a helmet. I've had several close calls. Not with cars, but with kids and animals. Squirrels do that you don't know which way they're going to run thing even to bicycles. I do have a speedometer, that's about all.

My son has a Mongoose bike that's pretty cool. I may look at one of those myself.

30 minutes of weights yesterday and 45 minutes on the treadmill this morning. I'm going to Six Flags tomorrow!! (it's an amusement park) I'm a little freaked out that I'm going to get all sunburned on Thursday and then have prom the next day and be all red. Hehe, I'm so shallow... :-)

I got an old Mongoose to Sky,I like it real well. But someday I'd like to get a new bike. And like Funk said get a helmet and some gloves. The gloves really help me with the wrist pain.
This morning I got up early and did some Tai-Chi with the sun rise. It sure is a peacfull part of the day. Then I ran 6 miles and did 200 crunches. Ill work on some karate forms today and I have class tonight.............KEEP HAMSTERIN'

I have fallen off of the exercise wagon this week because I am not feeling well. My allergies are really bad this week and I think I am getting a sinus infection. Yesterday I went to the gym, but my workout was much shorter than planned. I don't think I am going to do yoga today because my throat hurts and the breathing makes it hurt worse. Plus when I am upside down, it makes my head hurt. We'll see how I am feeling on Thursday. Bah - stupid allergies.

Hope you feel better soon kraftykraft!

Do you crunchie hamsters know of a link that shows the proper way to do crunches? Didn't Funkified say there's a right and wrong way or something. (Don't go to any trouble looking for one or anything.)

budda and funkified, I'm going to look stupid in a helmet. Now I know why my kids always complained. Budda, the tai-chi at sunrise sounds awesome!

Minmo, have fun at Six Flags tomorrow! Don't forget sunscreen!
