Im finally getting an MRI next week for my knee!! It has been locking up when I run past 3 miles.. I stopped running for few months.. tried to run from time to time, but my knees are a pain!
Other than that.. I recently started during muscle endurance exercise at home..
I think i put on weight since i cant do any cardios.
Hopefully that'll all change soon.
I think i should try jump n jacks.. that wont put much pressure on my knees, i dont think.
I have been trying to save gas.. by walking to the stores, etc. But.. i live in a city where its almost impossible to walk anywhere... I live on a hill!!!!! and stores are so far.. but its good i guess.. i do what i can.

How about swimming? It's good exercise without putting excess strain on your knees.

When my right knee went bad from years of running and training for a marathon I joined a gym and started taking yoga. Those machine there don't hurt and I'm able to use the treadmill to walk rather briskly now. I'll never be a runner again because every time I try my knee starts to hurt. It's not worth it for me to be an obsessive runner and be in denial of pain. LOL
Take care of those knees. Good luck.

I have a small exercise trampoline, and it has been my best investment as far as equipment goes! The cost is minimal, around $30. And it has virtually no impact on the knees. Both my knees are in pretty bad shape and this is the one thing I can still do without causing pain or injury. You can also control the degree of cardio you get by adding arm movements and how vigorous you do your routine.

Is cycling an option? Feel better!

Yes I can do cycling and I probably will start doing that soon.
So i went to the doctor today and according to him, its medial meniscus. Which could mean surgery. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I got an xray done and my bones/joints spacing is normal. I got my MRI but i wont know my results until after tomorrow.
The doctor kept popping my knee and noticed that it was the medial rather than the lateral.
Im looking for alternative methods specifically hollistic practices for my knee. I was taking biosil that i thought would help with my joints but i dont think its really helping.
Anyone or someone you know in the same situation as me? Any ideas what to look for?

Yeow. I tore my ACL. Totally different. Surgery is far more advanced for knee injuries now than it used to be. In and out in no time, and recovery is much faster.
