Has anyone ever been to a Sprouts Farmers Market? I just happened to notice one right down the street from me the other day. I found out they've been there since November, but I'd never noticed them before because they're kind of hidden.

Anyway, I stopped in tonight and it appears to be very similar to Whole Foods, only not as much selection and focusing more on produce and whole grains. The prices seem reasonable. I only wish they had more shelf food to choose from (boxed products like Fantastic Foods and cereal and different things like that)

Very nice to know they're close by! 5 minutes down the road beats the heck out of driving 30 minutes across town to Whole Foods.

We just got one in October...or maybe it was November. Do we live in the same place? I like it because they have good produce for relatively cheap, bulk bins, and some packaged organic / no trans fats products that I can't get at the regular grocery store.

I'm a bit disappointed by the size. It opened up where another grocery store used to be but only took up half the space. My mom asked the manager (they have been VERY successful) if they were planning on expanding into the rest of the space and she said no because the owners of the chain want it to retain a small market feel. Whatever. There is still a bunch of stuff I can only get at Whole Foods. For example, fresh hummus. Also they seem to be a lot more meat focused, especially with to go meals.
