Going on a long run in a about an hour. Did the usual weekday workouts and short runs. One of my short runs was a speed workout....I need to do more of those.

TWEETY!!!! You've come back!! :sunny: :smitten: Of course I remember you!
You, me, and budda were the original three. I haven't been around as much as I used to be but with the help of CaptainSwab and all the others we've managed to keep going. It's been over three years now can you believe it?

Yesterday went to 1.5 hour "hot" yoga (yoga in a heated room, kind of like Bikhram yoga).

Today I plan on going to the gym and doing weights, abs. 40 minutes of cardio.

I worked out yesterday with weights and 40 minutes of cardio. Today I'm going to 1.5 hour yoga class. :)

Broccoli, I used to be a runner for many years, even was training for a marathon. Knee pain sidelined me for a while which is when I picked up caridio at the gym. Every time I try to run eventually the pain returns, even though the yoga helps and I'm long cured of the pain. I still long for those long runs, I miss them....sigh.

Runners........take care of those knees.

Hi guys! :hi:

I'm still not sure when we will have internet connection.

1/2 marathon on Sunday. It was my second best half time ever so I was very happy. Other than that, just lots of moving over the weekend. :)

Have a great week!

Thanks. I'm glad you're still around and helping to keep the Hamsters alive! Kudos on the 1/2 marathon time!

I had homework and housework today, and did dog hygiene (trimmed nails, cleaned teeth and bathed) so I skipped the gym workout. But I'm on my way to yoga class now.

Good job everyone! Congrats on the 1/2 marathon! :bobo:

I'm waiting until Friday to really run again because of the knee problem. Today: 45 min walk. Well, I cheated and ran 3 minutes. :stinkeye: But it felt fine! 15 mins. abs and then ice, ice, ice, for my knee. :)

Monday I ran/walked 7km on the treadmill (50 minutes)
Last night I did a Pump class. My muscles don't hurt any where near as much today as they did after my Pump class last week. I must be getting fitter!

Last night - Body Combat class.

I had a different instructor this time (she usually takes the Pump class). She would tell us what move was next while we were doing the current move. It took me by surprise at first, because most instructors say the move you have to do just as you are about to do it. Once I got used to it, I found it really good - I made far less mistakes and felt much more co-ordinated!

This is a great thread!!! I haven't workout in about 2 weeks because I was on vacation but now I don't have any more excuses...
Not sure if I'm going to gym today as I they don't have any classes after work... I'll probably do taebo or the cindy crawford tape or something like that.... Tomorrow morning I will definitely go to my step/weights class... I love to workout on Saturday morning!!!

Last night I did an hour long cycling class and some walking as well. The semester is more or less in full swing and I've been a very naughty hamster.

Yesterday I rode my bike around for a while, about 45 minutes total (says my odometer, which might be a little off).

8 mile run today, with the last mile fastest. I'll take the dogs for long walks sometime later.

So...I haven't been able to run for a little less than a month due to a knee injury from running 13 miles around a teensy indoor track. Going around and around tore up my knee. But, I ran just 15 mins. today with NO PAIN! I'm so excited to get back in the running groove again. Maybe 25 mins. on Monday. I really need to do this slowly.

6 mile run Sunday, rest today except for some walking.

Wasn't somebody going to start a new thread this week since Captain won't be around? Maybe I just imagined that. Or missed it, or something . I can start a new one tomorrow if it hasn't happened yet.
