View Full Version : Radio Ads belittle veg*nism and spread propaganda to the masses

Today at work I heard this ad about three or four times on a DC radio station. It's very dangerous. It makes us (veg*ns) sound like crazy, violent idiots. It really annoyed me every time I heard it. Meaters are going to hear this, nod, smile and ... empty out any hint of doubt we may have placed inside their head.

"your brain is a non-reasoning blob of electrically charged gelatin that should be limited to simple tasks such as raking leaves and growing kale. ...Who are these holier-than-thou big brother buzz kills..."

Their ad on fish insinuates that the Japanese wouldn't be as intelligent as they are without eating fish.

This is what they claim are the "FACTS":

---------------------------------
the animal liberation movement does not seek to improve animals' lives. Its goal is to place unnecessary restrictions on ordinary people like you.

Today's activists want to force you to eat nothing but beans and greens; and wear nothing but cotton, rayon, and rubber. They want to ban hunting, fishing, zoos, rodeos, and circuses. Some want to permanently end Kosher slaughter. They even want to outlaw the use of animals in the search for cures for AIDS, Parkinson's Disease, and cancer. And a growing number take the law into their own hands, crossing the line from peaceful protest to violent crime.

It's a terrible scam. The world deserves to know the truth.

------------------------------------

Basically they are propagating to the masses that anyone who tells them that eating meat, fish, aspertame, etc is wrong... is trying to control them and does not have the intelligence to conduct a scientific study or logically come to a valid conclusion. :stinkeye:

I would be more concerned if our enemies weren't running scared. We can fight fire with fire.

What is the ad FOR??? Or is it just a "public service message" seeking to discredit veg*nism?

Exactly Tess!! It is made to sound like it is a friendly public service announcement from the government. It's just some organization. If you click on the first link you'll actually see and hear the ad that says they have every right to eat meat. Then on the right side are links to the audio for the ads that are pro fish, soda, junk food, etc...

Richard Berman would sell his own mother as a sex slave if someone paid enough. That's all that needs to be said.

I don't have enough money to run a radio advertisement in 3 major cities.

I found out it's playing in DC, L.A., and NYC.

They're also discrediting everything that PETA has done for animals because they have had to euthanize some cats and dogs that they couldn't find homes for.

Gawd.. they're even suggesting that super sugary/caffienated drinks, sugary snack foods aren't bad for you. Or at least that you can't believe "the man" when it comes to basic health information. Basing this on absolutely no information, of course. Of course it's good to be an informed consumer, but that's just ridiculous.

Look who they're funded by... restaurants and food companies. My guess would be McDonald's, Yum! Brands, ConAgra, Montesano. Speculation of course.

They're not interested in peoples' health. They're interested in letting everybody do whatever the hell they want, because that's what allows their sponsors to make money. I'm not sure how they can advocate personal responsibility when it's blatantly obvious that people can't, or at least won't, control themselves on the large scale. Should I have to pay taxes to allow Larry the Alcoholic to get a liver transplant because he's been drinking to excess for 20 years?

My guess is, this is the meat and junk food industries' response to books like The China Study that expose the truth about the evils of their products. A confused public is their best friend. :( Pretty low.

all they are is a lobbying group. a misinformation source.

Last I heard the animal liberation movement's real (secret and hidden) goal was to overthrow Democracy and install Communism in its place.

Well, at least that's what one seemingly well-informed member of VeggieBoards told us recently :guitar:  :baby: :dizzy: :sheep:

One just doesn't know who to believe anymore. It's most confusing.

Thanks, I didn't listen to the ad. But I'd consider listening to some CCF-spew when they start insinuating that the Japanese would be as dead as their western counterparts if they'd just scarf down as much animal meat, dairy, eggs, HFCS and trans fats as CCF clients would like them to.

These things are so ridiclious. I mean are they suppose to be satire. Are really suppose believe the soda is good for you? There something missing. I would hope this stupid would not exist. I cannot wait until I get home and can listen to these pieces.
