hey guys...
sorry to be so detailed or whatever  but normally my period comes and goes and theres the occasional cramp and huge cravings but thats the worst of it.
this month though i feel soooo odd. and im thinking maybe i was lucky before and that this is what a lot of people get...just wondering..what do you do? I know u take pain killers for the crampy bit.
but the thing driving me crazy is that i feel crazy dizzy every time i stand up, all my muscles are aching and i feel like im on a boat when im sitting down. and im a naturally bouncy energetic person so its really odd and ..well, horrible.
any advice? I thought maybe the dizziness was an iron energy thing so i started taking supplements and eating high iron foods but i feel even worse today than yesterday.
:wall:
yuck...
any advice and ill love you forever

Are you sure you aren't coming down with the flu? Sounds like it.
I like to take magnesium for aches and headaches. Ginger for a queesy stomach.
Hope you feel better soon.

Its the time of the year for everyone to be sick. Chances are, you've caught something. Get some rest and hopefully you'll feel better in a few days!

Perhaps it has nothing to do with your period, but you just happen to be getting sick while having it? Drink lots of fluids, especially water and get plenty of rest.
i feel light headed constantly! i think i probably have low iron levels - could it be the same with you? if you don't start to feel better in a few days, i would go & speak to the doctor(i've been meaning to go but i'm too scared they'll do a blood test :worried: ) ...hope you feel better soon :)

I always get super tired when I have my period, and that sometimes makes me dizzy.
But, I hope it isn't something that you start getting monthly.

OT, but checking for anemia involves a blood test. It's not such a big deal though, it only takes a few seconds and isn't painful.

It's a little finger prick, one that they give to kids when they go for a yearly check up. It's a small prick in the finger... I've never been scared of shots, but of all shots to get, this is defently not a biggy. Take a big gulp, grab your teddy bear and head to the doc.!

it's seriously over before you know it. if you need to they'll let you bring a friend in with you to talk to. if you're distracted you won't even notice the needle going in. personally i can't watch the needle being inserted but once it's in it's kinda cool to watch the blood going into the tube. and the technicians are usually really nice and will chat with you while they're doing it to keep your mind off it.
if you go i recommend having your thyroid and B12 levels checked at the same time. saves having to go do it more than once if it turns out to be something else

I don't know what to tell ya hun'. I've never been scared of shots/blood pulls (whatever those are called, I usually just refer to it as a shot even though it's not), but this one is so simple!
Have you ever been to the docter to have your finger pricked? I had this done every year when I went to the children's hospital. Even when I was a toddler, as far back as I can remember, it wasn't a biggy. I actually looked forward to it, because afterwards I would get a Barney band-aid.
It'll take ten seconds to prick and pull the blood, if not less, a few seconds to wrap up the finger, and 60 seconds to test the blood while you sit and waite. You'll be okay. I promise.

If it's just a finger prick, don't be scared, it's nothing. I remember not wanting to get one once, and when I got there I couldn't even feel it. I was surprised when they told me I was done.
As for blood tests, I don't like them either, but it really is no big deal. I just sit there and think about how much I don't want to be there and I'm so distracted that I don't feel the needle. When they draw the blood, just concentrate on breathing and it'll be a breeze. I get lightheaded afterwards, but the nurse just has me put my head down for a few minutes and then it's was fine. Then I realize that it's not so bad.

Are you taking anything such as midol? This happend to me last month, but I traced the fault to Midol, which use to work fine for me, but I havn't had caffine in that high of amounts since around Christmas, and the high caffine intake was what was making me dizzy. If you do take some sort of Midolish thing, then perhaps you should try swiching to a different reliever, and seeing if their is any change.
