I was in this place for 6 hrs a day, 3 days a week, for 4 months for "partial hospitalization" for anorexia from july-october 05. Now my therapist wants me back in the program... I don't know what just came over me (stupidity), but I just pretty much signed myself in. Starting monday.
Major freakage-outage. The main doctor there HATES me because I was on a gluten-free diet for the majority of the time there (we eat dinner together), but not a vegetarian. They support vegetarian, but NOT vegan diets. :wall: ... errrrrgggggggghhhhhh
There are usually a few vegetarians in program (10-15 people at a time, usually)... Their dinners, as I recall, were almost always chick'n patties or nuggets and the same veggies/rice/potatoes/bread/pasta whatever as everyone else. That is, unless we had lasanga or something, and in that case, everyone ate the same thing. (Quiche....AHHH... Chicken menstrual flow baked over a crust of lard and ahhhhhhh)
I can't ask for vegan food, though. The aformentioned doctor shops for all the meals himself. I just couldn't.
Thank God that they stopped forcing the 3 yogurts (24 oz) if you don't finish your meal. Lol.
Really, I'm not too worried about the food, I guess. I HATE getting weighed every day (at 3 pm!!! how very effective...not). Everything else is okay. I like the people there, although they will all be making fun of me and my various restrictive diets (i'm off gluten free now, apparently, now a mostly-vegan lol).
Wish me luck, you guysssss...
