I try to incorporate good fat into my diet. This consists of mainly olive and canola oils, nuts, flax, and the little bit of fat that comes in soy, grains, and beans. I eat very good food and don't consume convenience foods. But, I've noticed that when I eat something with fat, it just makes my stomach feel... greasy. Sometimes it feels like it's just stuck in my throat or something. It's almost as though I'm not digesting it.
Today I had a salad for lunch with an oil based dressing as well as a bean dip that had some oil in it. About an hour later it still felt like it was just sitting in my stomach, and not in the I'm-full-from-my-meal kind of way, but more like I-have-food-in-my-stomach-with-oil-sitting-on-top-of-it way.
I know I'm not eating too much fat; in fact, I usually have a hard time getting enough fat in my diet. Does anyone else ever feel like this when they eat fats and oils? Or, do you know what is causing it? Is this something that is always the case with fat and I have to live with it forever?!
