Excellent job! When to you start running?
I'm pretty much going to have to stop running for a few weeks. I can still walk, do arm work, and ab work, so it won't be too bad. Hopefully, I can still do the 1/2 I'm signed up for in March.

Our club meets at 6:30am and we usually have some kind of speaker and a warm up and are on the road by 7. During the week I get up at 4:50 to run. :) Dang work gets in the way. :D
Is your foot still bothering you? Maybe you can use the eliptical to maintain fitness level. I've never used one but I heard it is similar to running. Or how about water running if you have access to a pool? (yeah, in the middle of winter, I know).

Today I did 30 minutes on the eliptical, 15 minutes on the stairmaster, and calves, hamstrings, quads + leg press. It was a good workout, I had fun. :D

I have been doing a half hour of running and a half hour of elliptical lately. With LOTS of stretching afterward because I want to be able to do the splits for my dance class! Hopefully I can do that every day this entire week...

Great job!
I don't have access to an eliptical or a pool. :(
I have been doing a lot of ab work, so by the time I'm able to run again I'll have fabulous abs and no leg muscles. :p

Last night I ran 6.5km. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather - it's really hard to run for very long when you're already hot before you start!

10 minutes on the bike, 'warming up', 30 minutes on the eliptical and an hour long yoga class for me today. :)

The top of my right foot is all swollen up. Dang it. It doesn't even hurt, I just put on my work shoes this morning and the right one didn't fit well and I feel "pressure" there. What the heck?

Sorry to hear about your foot, Captain. I can't say what it is, but I really hope it feels better- being injured when you are really want to train makes you crazy. I used to be in shape once, I remember what it was like...:D
Nothing for me today. Keep up the good work, everyone.

Ooh, Captain, sorry about your foot! That used to happen to my feet and lips when I was younger because I was allergic to a certain dye.
Today: Just 30 mins. abs and 30 mins arms(maybe the arms).
Only 7 days until I can try to run again says the doctor! (Yes, I am counting them down :p ) I don't even want to know what about 3 weeks off will do to my running...

 So many people are broken around here! I'm just recovering from a week of bedridden illness myself :brood: I tell ya, I forgot what it feels like to come back after a layoff from running...I ran five miles today and everything hurts :D Not to be discouraging or anything to the injured...I think it was mostly because my body ached so much from being sick and it isn't quite 100% better.
Great job to all, and heal up!!! :sunny:

Hi Hamsters!
9 mile run on Sun. It was a bit chilly though, you know it's a cold run when the water in your fuel belt turns to ice. Another short run and exercise class this morning too.
Sorry to here of all the injuries and illness, hope you're all better soon!
Way to go all you Hamsters!
Go Hamsters!!! :vebo: :vebo: :hamster:

We are moving into our new house on Saturday (finally) and I won't have internet connection for a week or two until we can get DSL set up. Can somebody else please start the hamster thread for the next week or two? Thanks! :D
This week just mostly walking. Sunday will be a half marathon that I wasn't going to run but of course my running buddies convinced me. :)

5 mile run yesterday, ~6.5 mile run today. It felt really good to be back running again, and the temperature is finally a little bit warmer! I also ran the dog a little, that was quite fun :) Longer run tomorrow planned...it will probably involve a stop at the bagel shop on the way home :D :lick:
