View Full Version : pregnant..hah!
Crazy.I truely thought that due to my thyroid problems, it would be quite difficult for me to concieve. But not so.
This is my first, and I am very happy.I am eating great, yummy veggie food and I feel fine.No real nausea..A little tired.I guess it may all kick in a few weeks.
So any advice from other veggie Moms, or prenant ladies?.I feel normal.:sunny:
:)I guess no more sexy AR protests!!...lol!

congrats. i definately recommend checking out The Gentle Birth Method (http://www.jeyarani.com). While not specificly vegetarian, it's easily adaptable to a vegetarian diet, and many of the practices that this ob/gyn-midwife recommends will make your birth less painful or even pain free.

Congrats! I have some experience with thyroid issues during pregnancy. What kind of thyroid problems do you have? I've also had three fully healthy, fully vegetarian pregnancies.
Sounds like you are doing well!

Congrats Bumble! What a whirlwind for you...so much has happened in such a short span of time!
Just remember that many fish contain a higher mercury level than others, which really needs to be avoided during pregnancy.
Have you decided if you are raising your child vegetarian or pescetarian? :baby:
Allllright! Congratulation on your new adventure!
Thanks so much for all of the well wishes!
I actually have no thyroid, it had to be removed. So I get complete thyroid medication therapy. My levels are perfect thus far :)
As for fish, I tried salmon a few times in the summer, because my boyfriend, really loves wild salmon..basically I fell in love and fell of the wagon!
I havent had it in months and have no plan to.We have descided he can eat what he wants and I will eat what I eat.No fish/seafood in pregnancy, for sure.It can have mercury ect.So I am back to veggie.I really do prefer my veggie diet.God the house smells too when you cook fish.Ick.
Thanks guys! :)
CONGRATULATIONS!! :baby: Best wishes for a safe and happy pregnancy :)
