Republican Politician Hunters In Canned Hunts

(What is a canned hunt? Animals are trapped behind fences
with no place to run or hide...they are shot like sardines in a barrel
by trophy seeking killers)

Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts: in canned hunt
Former Governor Bill Weld of Mass: killed a boar in a canned hunt in NH
Governor Perdue of Georgia .. canned hunt
Governor Pataki of NY ... advanced canned hunting
Former Gov Keating of Oklahoma: advanced canned hunting
Gov Taft of Ohio... advanced canned hunting
Gov Perry of Texas... advanced canned hunting
Senator Cornyn... in canned hunt
Representative Dick Cheney (the office to which he was elected)
in canned hunt http://www.matthewscully.com

Governor Ehrlich... encountered so much opposition in Maryland
to his bear hunting plan that he has temporarily shelved his
campaign http://www.marylandbears.com

REPUBLICAN HUNTERS
Gov George Bush... killed endangered species bird, had frogshooting
parties, awarded by Safari Club.. bombed animals in Iraq, Afghanistan,
Colombia etc.
George H W Bush... awarded by Safari Club.. bombed people and animals
.. 250,000 in Highway of Death alone.. kills quail
Antonin Scalia.. in duck blind with Dick Cheney... justice is blind
Poster does not know if this hunt was canned. In Pennsylvania
Cheney and Senator Cornyn had cage raised birds released from
nets right in front of them

Other Hunters:

Former Red Sock Wade Boggs, member of Safari Club (each member
must kill 300 KINDS of animals)Republican Politician Hunters

Many of these governors owe their 'victories' to Diebold, ESS,
Sequoia Pacific, Triad and/or other 'voting machines' owned
by Republicans. http://www.blackboxvoting.org

OTHER ANIMAL ISSUES

Elizabeth Dole, senator from NC: absolutely silent about Smithfield,
Duke and other animal abuse centers in NC

John McCain 0 environmental rating

Senator Lott has protected those who breed cocks for fighting
in other states and as Republican 'Majority' Leader prevented
national legislation to ban cockfighting, banned in 49 states now.

Tom Delay: entered politics to fight an EPA ruling banning
an antkiller he was using in his extermination business.

ACTED AGAINST ANIMALS:
George Voinovich, Senator from Ohio... with Idaho's Craig
introduced a bill to exempt certain birds from federal migration
protection
Senator Craig of Idaho: cosponsor of bill
Senator Charles Grassley of Iowa: introduced bill to exempt baby chicks
from federal protections and have them reclassified as mail

Sam Alito, nominee of the unelected Bush to the unelected Supreme
Court, broke his promise twice to recuse himself on a regional
bench from cases involving Vanguard, perhaps the fund most
heavily invested in slaughterhouse products from Wendy's, KFC
and Taco Bell to McDonald's, Arby's and Lonestar Steak House Chain.

Are you supposed to be listing "Canned" hunts or just politicians who hunt? If you're doing the former, you really need to do some more research.

Someone who hunts on a large ranch is NOT a canned hunt.

Specifically, a canned hunt occurs in a small pasture with no cover and a fence in which the animal cannot escape.

Here are some definitions to get you started:

http://www.wolftrust.org.uk/aec-c-entries.html

http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/cancanned-hunting

What's funny is real hunters have been the most proactive in outlawing true canned hunts.

Dear Castor, After several decades as an animal rights activist,
I can say that I have not seen hunters trying to ban canned hunts

I'm pretty sure there are some Democrats who could be added to that list too.

define for us clearly what a canned hunt is because it sounds like it's whenever a republican politician hunts and give us proof these politicians are hunting animals in a "canned" state.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if a so-called "real-hunters" would hate canned hunts. Canned hunts would give that "sport" a black eye. I am not sure however, if they (real hunters) are the most pro-active.

Well, most recently several hunting organization were proactive in inacting legislature on banning the "internet hunting" that was starting to pop-up among true canned-hunting ranches.

As for including democrats, let not forget John Kerry's photo-op on "hunting" pen-raised pheasants back in the '04 election.

Canned shoots have been opposed by animal rights groups, no matter who the participant. Mr. Kerry's bad choice to shoot birds for photo-ops was condemned in Animal People News, the premier independant animal rights journal. Both Bush and Kerry's pandering to the hunting vote was criticized by animal advocates.
Animal organizations have been vociferous in exposing and documenting the practices of canned hunts. Arguably, the vector that first widely brought the bloody details of canned shoots to the American public was HBO, on the unforgettable documentary To Love or to Kill. Hunting-support groups, usually regional hunting associations and state wildlife departments, are known to throw their weight behind anti-canned shoot legislation. However, they are not typically responsible for whipping up public moral outrage with humane arguments and undercover footage, which is most often the territory of animal groups. Teaching and activism to general audiences helps get these bills before legislators to begin with. Once in the hands of Senators, broad-base support from humane and regional hunting groups helps get them passed.
However, it is important to note that when it comes to the "big guns" of the hunting movement, all bets are off. Several of the major, national pro-hunting groups support canned hunting. Most notable is the huge Safari Club International, which throws its weight behind canned hunts of exotic imported "trophy" species. http://www.hsus.org/press_and_publications/press_releases/trophy_hunting_group_asks.html

Simply put, Dave Wedge is a liar, a well known liar, an accomplished liar, a practiced liar.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A62088-2004Dec13?language=printer

George bush never killed an endangered animal on a dove hunt. It was a killdeer, a bird that is protected under the Migratory Bird Act (a fairly minor offense). Dave Wedge didn't even write the quote correctly, suspicious coming from a guy that makes up dialogue.

Otomik... while I am seldom one for 'form' over substance
.. people would pay more attention to your posts if you used a spellcheck
... liar for instance

george bush has killed millions of endangered species
through the policies of his illegal regime

and J H Hatfield who reported the murder of the bird
in UNFORTUNATE SON was himself murdered
... in an out of state hotel room..
perhaps for revealing Bush's cocaine arrest details

these murders are more easily committed if ones father is
an ex CIA director
