Mervyn Hardinge, MD did isocaloric studies at an ivy league school
and found that after 3 months which each group having the same daily
calories, the nonvegetarians weighed the most, 12 lbs. more than
vegetarians and 23 lbs more than vegans. Fruitarians not in the study
weighed less than anyone else.

That isn't necessarily a good thing, considering the shocking number of people on this site alone that starve themselves, thinking that's how vegans eat.

The groups were isocaloric. However, we'd need to know more about the methodology to assess the study.

That is extremely interesting if they were actually fed the same amount of calories. I would also like a link to the article. please post it if you still have it
