If you look through just yahoo.com news pictures, it looks like theyre just stuffing live chickens, turkeys, geese and ducks into sacks or big garbage bags. Do they not have any humane ways to kill 300,000 fowl?

Nope, sorry, bird flu is a flu, a virus, not a prion.

That's what it was like in Asia too. I doubt the birds are kept or killed humanely anyway, and if they are in a hurry to kill so many, I suppose they are going to do it in the easiest way possible rather than the most humane. It is horrific though.
