Mods are chosen by Michael. Not everyone gets to be a mod (and some members don't want to be :p). There are like, 2000 members here, can you imagine trying to make everyone a mod at some point? :eek:

Also, you've only been here two months! How many other boards are you currently participating in where they give someone that kind of responsibility after two months?

actually, I just checked and there are 7,698 members here. Granted, most do not post. Not sure what the number of "active" member is.

But yeah, like Brownie said, the mods are chosen by Michael, with input from the other mods. Typically, the members that are considered for mod-ship have demonstrated a consistent history of contribution to the community, and level-headed-ness. I don't think he's in the market for any new mods at this point, but you could ask him yourself.

With the greatest respect to the mods we have, I couldn't imagine taking the job on myself. It doesn't look like the easiest job in the world, even if my name did look good in orange :lol:

I recently went on hiatus from modding because it was making VB far less enjoyable, plus it was really time consuming. It's a labor of love for VB.
