I just sent in my rebate for the motorola razor cell phone i purchase last summer. it was $170.0 when I purchased it, and now the phone is $70-90.0 with any 2 year contract. considering the phone has devalued nearly 50% (time-value of money) i figured the company has not only decided to pay me to buy the phone (intrinsic value), but has also decided to gip themselves. Only catch is you had to wait 120-180 days to send the rebate in after your puchase. Considering most folks perhaps forgot to do it, maybe motorola didn't do so bad after all. Anyways, I'll be anticipating my $170.0 check in a couple of months.

Good for you for remembering! I think they calculate how many people will probably forget.

That would be me. This just reminded me that I have not sent in my rebate for my new printer. Now I think it must be too late. :stinkeye:

A few months ago we purchased 2 laptops. I sent in the rebates for each and got $300 back 6 weeks later : )

My PC died a month or so ago and I had to run to CompUSA in the mall to get a new one that day. I bought one for $1000 - $350 in rebates. The trick though is signed up for their 6 month no interest and no payment credit card, so I will get the rebates back before I need to pay them a cent, essentially, I didn't pay anything for it and I'll be getting money in my pocket some time soon.
