Hubby and I would like to learn outdoor rock climbing this summer. I've been looking for a guide around here but haven't had much luck. My searches haven't turned up anything so far. We'd like to do it at Devil's Lake in Baraboo (Wisconsin) since it's only a 3 hour drive from where we live. Does anyone know of an outfitter in that area that does climbing instruction?

Hey Molly! :hi: Good to see you around these parts again.

I've only been rock climbing a couple of times and would love to go again. I'm not too much of a help to you but maybe you can check out this forum: http://www.rockclimbing.com/
The people there may be more knowledgeable on the subject.

you should check your local REI or EMS outfitters to see if they know of groups in the area. you may also see if there is a local rock gym that takes people out on trips. i mostly climb indoors because i feel more comfortable there.

Hi CaptainSwab! :hi:

Thanks you two. I'll definitely follow up on those. :) I was only to an indoor gym in Colorado once, but I loved it. They're putting up an indoor wall in a fun center about a mile from my house, so I'm very excited about that! :vebo:

Your local university might have a club that you could get info from.

Any A16 stores out near you? They might also be a good source for leads. Have fun!
