Does someone have kale recipes? I can only think of blended smoothies ...

I am going to add them to KaleRecipes.com so people won't have this problem O-)

I find all raw greens hard to digest so I don't know any good raw recipes using kale. I imagine some people would use early shoots of kale in salads. And even the more mature leaves.

kale goes good from hand to mouth, maybe with some raw dressing if so inclined
juiced, yeah... or rolled up with spinach in a big leaf of romaine
dipped in favorite raw dressing... if so inclined :)

Usually I just free-style when working with kale, so I don't have a physical recipe. However, I find it's usually quite good if you cook it down with a crapload of garlic, since kale has a nice, salty taste already. I can't really think of anything else that I add, but it's been a few months since I've cooked it...

Edit: kale doesn't seem like the sort of thing that requires a recipe, since it's got a great flavor built in. I have difficulty imagining ways to screw it up.

I love cooked kale too but this is a "raw" thread, lol. :)

I think I saw a raw kale recipe in the recipe section of this board, it's under the raw food recipes.

I love this Kale recipe:

One bunch of Kale, trimmed and cut into bite-sized pieces
One large asian pear/apple/or regular pear, cut into small chunks
Champagne vinegar to taste (or cider vinegar)
Medium-course sea salt
garlic
olive oil
toasted or raw sesame seeds (optional)

Steam the kale until just tender, not soft!
Toss immediately with a mixture (you decide the proportions) of the remaining five ingredients.

Eat while still warm or serve cold, either way it is tremendously yummy!

hey! what's really yummy is if you have a nice ripe avocado and you like kinda massage it into the kale and then let it set for a few minutes. and you could add whatever veggies you want to it and make an amazing salad! yum yummmm. oh and you can like make guacamole wraps which are awesome, just plop some guac in the kale, roll it and eat! :) and ALSO if you have almonds, tomatoes, mexican seasoning, cumin, salt, avocado, and cayenne and put it in a food processor until it's chunky (and you can add water to make it blend better), it is SO good it tastes like chili!!! :) or taco filling!
