I know this was like a great event and everything, I didn't get the channel to watch it.

But I got the DVDs for christmas. And, oh my GOD. The amount of people wearing sweatshop made shoes just appalled me, plus the large amount of leather+fur people were wearing.

Honestly do they just not notice unless someone shows them some video over and over of people/animals suffering. or are they just completly ignorant?!

I think I might be overreacting, but come on.

Also my boyfriend said mariah carey wore fur, and lip sang, it seems like she was just there to sell cds. I havent gotten to her yet (on the second dvd). But gak.

Why are nice charity things always corrupted by greed? ;/

Yeah but they usually wear those things. At least they got involved and did something. I haven't watched the DVD or concerts etc as I hate most of the music these people produce, but what would you expect them to do - don sackcloth because they were doing a charity gig?

I hate leather and fur too obviously, but these people are not AR campaigners - they are just celebrities.

Still doesn't explain their sweatshop shoes. Oh well, at least they did something.

I wouldn't go as far as to call it a tragedy, and I'm wondering why you noticed their shoes, but yeah, it still sucks.

is 'sweatshop' a term being used here to suggest a third world manufacturer of origin whereby material produced has the likely hood of cruel methods of fur being made inhumanly do you mean(??) Spaz..?
