First i know i m going to be in trouble when i go back to work my sickness isnt the best due to suffering from undiagnosted IBS for a year+, but as soon as that started to be treated i ve been fine

However last christmas i had food poisoning and had to go to hospital for injections and vomiting hence of work sick the christmas period, as a rule my work place is very suspious of people who are off sick around the holiday period

Any way history kind of repeats its self, i went home from work on monday because my voice was going and it was quite painful to speak, later that evening i developed a cough but it really wasnt that bad, i phone in sick tuesday and went to the doctors i explained i work in a call centre and need to be able to speak and not cough, the doctor this happened very fast look at my throat that no be honest felt worse than it looked and game me erythromycin and a flu jab

since then my cough has got worse which has killed my throat my chest felted all clogged up and i ve been feeling sick, today i woke up feeling better but as soon as i stood up the headache i ve been experiencing on off came straight back.

My work think this is planned as i have the next couple of days off now anyway my bosses even said to me - they do not give you a flu jab and antibiotics together ever - there apparently not ment to do that?? i m not a doctor but if this is true could this be the reason i m feeling so crappy?

Hey Stranger!
I don't know really... antibiotics are for a bacterial infection, the flu is a virus. The flu shot may be because your immune system is weakened due to the infection, and it would be bad to get the flu on top of your infection? I'd give yourself 2 days on AB's to decide if its working or not. Feel better!

If you have the paperwork to prove you were at the drs or hospital then you should be fine, they can't legally fire you for being sick regardless of the time of year.
