Captain: How many miles do you run a week? I run every other day and want to continue running every other day (a lot faster, more refreshed). I currently run 21-28 miles a week and want to increase to 30-40 miles a week.

Yesterday I did 15 minutes on the eliptical and 15 minutes on the stairmaster, plus lateral raises, shoulder presses, bicep curls, and tricep kickbacks. Today did 15 minutes on the treadmill (walking quickly w/incline) and 15 minutes on the stairmaster, but I didn't have time for weights.

So true! I had to take about a month off from all exercise because of a foot injury. I was mean, lazy, and crazy! Not a good combo. Yesterday I went for a 10 mile run, and it was absolutely wonderful. The wheather was a little chilly, but not too cold. Today I'm doing 30 mins. upper body weights, 15 minutes pilates abs, and....something else. Maybe some butt exercises.
Good job everyone!

4 mile trail run but my legs were VERY tired on this run and I did some walking. Guess I am feeling the effects of the marathon still.
Broccoli, I try to run 4 or 5 miles 3 days a week and on Sundays we run between 10 and 22 miles. I've been getting lazy however about my weekly runs. I really need to work on that so I can improve my times.
RBM, I'm glad to see you back here at the hamsters. Nice workout.
Anna, havne't seen you around much lately but it looks like you are just as consistant as every. :)
Shadowlee, combat class sounds like fun but hard.

It's awesome fun, and not actually that hard. The instructor uses a combination of different moves for each track, but it's easy to pick them all up. Usually the routine repeats a couple of times throughout the track, so you have a chance to get the hang of it.
It gets you sweating though! I also like it because an hour kicking and punching imaginary people is a great stress reliever.

Thanks, CaptainSwab, I'm trying to get back into it. As usual you are doing awesome. Today I did 15 minutes on the stairmaster, 15 minutes on the eliptical, and I did some weights- leg press, leg extensions, leg curls, and some abs.

I'm back. :)
I did some upper body weights (30 minutes) and 50 each sit ups and bridges. I'm about to do some pushups.
I was going to walk/jog for a while, but I forgot how early the sun sets, so I'll try to get to that tomorrow. Instead I did some mild stretching.
It's a little start back into my former hamsteriness, but at least it's a step.

-about an 2 hours of jogging (not all at once!!!)
-"weight training" w/ my new resistance bands!!! (I love those!!! weights and a boingy-thingy in one!!!) just arms. I attempted to do legs but I don't think it worked. :)
-walking 2ish miles downtown to Seattle to eat chinese food.
-running uphill back (I was racing my brother and sister to see who could run the farthest uphill--I won. :hamster: ) (my brothers excuse-"I just ate a huge meal! It's in my stummach like a rock! All you ate was veggies and tofu. You need to eat more to slow down." This is coming TO someone who finished off 3/4 of "buddas delight" :hungry: --and would've ate it all if her father hadn't eaten the rest--and is coming FROM someone who finished off a plate of some sort of deep-fried shrimp, prolly a cup or so of rice, half a plate of orange chicken, and some of my sisters moo-shu chicken.:spew: )
I also went shopping, does that count?
Don't worry, I'm not always this active! I originally was only going to run 1-1.5 hrs, but my mom made me go again because I was jumping off the walls!
