I first tried Kiss My Face olive soap years ago and got good results. I would even say I found it too moisturizing back then.

For the past two years, I've been using shower gels and liquid soap (like Aubrey's Herbal Liquid and Alba shower gel) and I've been satisfied with the results except that they make the acne I get on my back and shoulders worse.

So...I've tried making the switch back to bar soap and my skin is getting so dry that it has itchy/irritated and very dry and scaley areas. The soap I've been using is KMF Olive and Lavendar and KMF Olive scented.

Is it that my skin is so used to the shower gels that it's staging a revolt against conventional bar soap, lol? Anyone else find the Kiss My Face olive soaps drying or irritating?

any time you switch products, there is a chance of an initial reaction...

I found the same thing with the Kiss My Face olive oil bars. I've only tried two- the plain olive oil one and the olive oil & lavender. It's a shame, because some of them smell so divine.

Their liquid hand soap (not really labled that way, but I think most people use it that way) is wonderful, though. I won't buy any other after having tried it at someone else's house a few years ago.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's experienced this. I even have a shower filter installed so I can only imagine what the results would be if I'd been using the soap with "regular" chlorinated water! It really does suck because they're so pure and CHEAP too!! :(

yeah i used a couple of them, i currently have some whole foods $1.29 oatmeal bar soap, its not packaged even, but seems ok. I prefer dry soaps only because if i get over oily it will create zits or the start of them say on my back or shoulders. Any moisturizing soaps are way too creamy feeling for me. There are the non olive soaps or whole foods sells the one called "the big bar" and i remember that was a non-drying soap.

Almond soap is really good on the skin and it smells good too. My sister who has excema really liked it too for her skin.
