Deleting Threads?

I posted a thread in the wrong forum and when I went back, I couldn't delete it I could only edit it. Has it always been this way or am I missing something?

It's always been that way. You can't delete threads because it would also delete any replies. I went ahead and deleted the one you're referring to.
