Does anyone have any winter boots they'd recommend? I've searched high and low and can't find any I like. Thanks!

I got vegan snow boots from Zappos.com. salomon, garmond and I think colombia? are brands to check out.

I have fancy boots by matt and nat (ordered at mooshoes) and vegetarian site(UK, but the shipping was only $12 to USA)

outdoorsy snow boots---although ones with a nod to fashion would be nice

Some of the snow boots on this page are completely man-made, if that's what you're looking for. I haven't bought any of them because it doesn't snow where I live.

For non-leather vegan (as far as I can tell) snow boots (both men & women) I 've found Sorel brand to be excellent for keeping your feet warm & dry without being clunky and/or ugly.

Check out this selection of Sorel models for women: Glacier/Bear/Moresby/Snow Lion/Snow Cat Strap/Snow Minx/Snow Eagle/Cumberland/Flood Plain Chukka/Remodeler Low/Rain Gauge Zip

Let me know what you think of these.

I just ordered these today:

I can't wait to get them and let you gals know what I think. I haven't had snowboots since I was little, and I live in Cleveland!

The Columbia and Sorel boots look really clunky in the pictures. Are they smaller in real life?

I got these a few years ago
http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/8484877/c/3.html

They don't feel as bulky as they look because the ankle/leg part of the boot is very flexible and fits very snugly. Of all the boots I've had these are the best in every way:look,feel/fit,traction on snow/slush/ice,keeping dry, material & construction quality, and most important of all: keepin warm in these Chicago winters. My 2 dogs love to go for long walks in the snow, no matter how cold it gets, and finally my feet won't freeze like they did with our first dog. She was a samoyed and she LOVED the snow.
