And they say that alcoholics are always alcoholics
Even when they're as dry as my lips for years
Even when they're stranded on a small desert island
With no place within 2,000 miles to buy beer
And I wonder
Is he different?
Is he different?
Has he changed? what's he about?..
Or is he just a liar with nothing to lie about?

Yes and no,

Im not sure, i really enjoy it, but iv been able to last without it.

Till last night, its been hard, last night felt sooo good, to have a blow out.

Regrets, i had a few, but then again, to few to mention.......

ghost, do you have any type of support system to help you aviold drinking? like a sponsor you can call if you feel like drinking? It helps a lot to have someone on call to talk to. some of the 12 step programs can be a bit religous and that turns people off but they work. really.

It's hard to quit cold. you have to practice quitting... just keep trying to not drink, but don't beat yourself up to much if you slip. what's important is that you realize you shouldn't drink, and the time between slip ups gets longer.

I am not equipped to be a sponsor, but you can PM me if you want.

that's fine. a lot of people have issues with AA and similar programs.(myself included, but for other reasons.)

Having a person who you can call 24/7 is helpful though. like VB is for new veg*ns!

anyway, good luck with it.:)

Giving up stuff can be hard. You have all that extra sober time on your hands to think about how you stuffed up your life whilst you were bent.
Don't beat yerself up over the odd slip up, just don't go backwards...
