I'm not sure if this is the right spot to post this and i'm sure that no-one else will care but i get really excited when i find new thing that work

My bathroom basin has been getting slower and slower to drain over the past few weeks and DH has been wanting to get some of that horrid draino stuff...So i did some searching and came up with an excellent drain unblocker which is just from a few of my favourite house hold cleaners

1/2 cup bicarb
1/2 cup Salt
1/4 cup vinegar

Pour Bicarb and salt down first then vinegar

leave to sit for 20min

Then pour a full kettle of boiling water down the sink

It works a treat:vebo: :vebo: :vebo:

sounds like it would work wonderfully... nice chemical reactions....
if i can think of anything else like this i'll post it...

Is bicarb what Aussies call baking soda?

I have had success with this, too. I also recommend that the water with the salt and baking soda be very hot.
