Did you make it to the protests?

Thank God they held the bear hunt this year. I live in the mountains in NJ. Every time it gets banned we see more and more bears around my neighborhood. Hopefully this year I won't have so bears ripping through my garbage, damaging my yard and house. I have a boy who enjoys playing in my backyard. Thankfully, I won't have to be so worried about bears wandering around this year.

Yeah, god forbid a man walk into the woods and shoot a bear, but kudos to any bear who wanders down into town and rips the head off a man. Nice priorities

I suppose by your reasoning, if a bear wandered down into my yard, I should invite him in for some tea. Maybe offer to let him stay at my house for a few days- give him the master bedroom. Hmm. I wonder if he would give me the same courtesy if I wandered into the woods around his den and started rummaging through his stuff.

Actually, I just stumbled upon this site yesterday while doing research about the NJ Bear Hunt.

Well, excuse me. I didn't realize I was upsetting the natural order of this website. I read the terms and agreements when I joined. Funny, they didn't mention anything about only allowing animal rights activists to become members.

if you don't like bears don't live near them. and move out of NJ while you're at it.

No, but only vegetarians and vegans can become members.

I am skeptical that black bears cause any real house damage or pose a danger to your kid.

Randomly killing bears to prevent nuisance complaints is about as smart as shooting into a large crowd in hopes of ridding society of criminals.

Aren't we supposed to be smarter than bears? It's people who are creating the problem. People leave out tantalizing snacks like garbage, pet food, and stocked bird feeders and then get mad when the bears eat them.
