I use Mary Kay mascara - I know it's not tested at least.

I use Ecco Bella Flower Color.. or something like that. It's pretty $$$$$ ($11 a tube!!) but the tube lasts me a good while, averaging use of maybe 2-3 times a week. I probably bought it 4 months ago and it's just now starting to get gunky. I like it. Has a nifty little mirror on the side of the tube, too. I would recommend it, sure

I currently used Ecco Bella's Flower color and really like it. It runs anywhere from $10-$15. I have never used Arbonne's mascara, but I just recently met with a representative for the company, and it looks great!! On the website it was $18, and comes in different colors. Also, it has the white conditioner, similar to that of what Maybelline now has out.

I use ZuZu Luxe and haven't had any problems. I ordered mine online at Vegan Essentials and it was $11.95.

I use Loreal. I started using this after working for Lancome years ago, because they are almost the same thing. Come to think of it, I am not sure if they do animal testing or not. Maybe someone can tell me.

This is kinda off topic a little, but I always heard that mascara is made from bat poop. Someone can correct me on this one also.

I have thin eye lashes, so I like it kinda thick.

Loreal does i'm pretty sure, I think the only one that you can get in a drug store that doesn't test is Revlon. I've heard that mascara is made from bat poop too but I think that some companies do and some don't. The kind that I have is made from moss and theres another one by the same brand that is made with roses.

Loreal defintely test.

And the vegan mascaras don't contain bat poop at least, never heard of bat poop in mascara!

I use BWC mascara and am very happy with it, used to have Zuzu Luxe but I found it started to clump straight away and the fibers of the brush kept coming off onto my eyelashes!

okay, i've got a place to start for sure but i should've added that i'd like to thicken and lengthen and this is what makes the search somewhat more difficult.

which of these you've shared can do this?!? ;)

I think it's more in the technique of applying it than the type of mascara (although I'm not exactly saying all mascaras are created equal, either). Anyone that's good enough could make fountain ink look good on lashes. I could be wrong though. I'm just basing it on my experience with different types of fancy-schmancy mascara that claim to do this and claim to do that. None of them really come out looking like the commercials, but I can make it look pretty nice if I take my time.

Zuzu luxe is my favorite vegan mascara, and one of my favorites of all time. Revlon, Almay, and Max Factor don't test, and they're common drug store brands. I also really like Revlon's "Stretch and Separate" mascara. It does what it says.

I know Almay doesn't test on animals, but are you sure their Bright Eyes mascara is vegan? I've used Almay for years and I found out they use milk in their regular mascara. I was so dissappointed because I had to switch brands. I'll have to check out the Bright Eyes ingredients next time I'm at the grocery store.

Hey,

I just discovered the BWC lip gloss too!

Man, it's great, the little clicky thing and the cute little brush, I'm not usually a clear lip gloss wearer, but I tried it and it feels really soft and lovely!

I like the BWC range too, the only problem is that the lipsticks aren't in very 'vampy' colours. Zuzu Luxe are better at the darker more melodramatic colours for lipstick.

Jane doesn't test either - the Bonne Bell company in general swears they don't... I hadn't even known Revlon didn't test because they don't advertise it... I only randomly found it on the PETA site. Jane is in drugstores too. Also, anything by Townley Cosmetics is cruelty-free as well, although I think their stuff is more like Lizzie McGuire brand and things of that nature...

I called Almay and asked them if it contained any animal products and they said it didn't. All of their eyeshadows and lip products and a lot of their face makeup is not vegan though. I use these products (I called and asked about each one specifically, and they are all vegan):
-Bright Eyes Mascara Waterproof in Black
-Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Spot Concealer in Light
-Skin Stays Clean Pressed Powder in Fair

I've started just buying from the lines that don't have any animal products at all. I'm vegan, but I couldn't be bothered scouring the ingredients list and continuously calling manufacturers, so I just stick to the vegan lines.

Here in Australia, a small company called Pure Gaisha is starting their own natural cosmetics range which will be totally vegan! I'm very excited!

Revlon doesn't test on animals, but is it vegan? I think they use animals ingredients. Anyone know?

Also, I don't think that mascara comes from bat poop. It comes from whale blubber...which is worse because bats don't die so for us to put their poo on, but whales do die for their blubber.

Does any one know of make up products out there that truly are animal testing free and horse murder free?
