Deliciously Easy Raw Date Balls
Category: Snacks
Suitable for a: vegan diet
Ingredients:
------------------------------------------------------
30 dates
10 dried apricots
1/3 cup and type of nuts or seeds
1 tbsp honey, agave nectar, or any other sticky liquid sweetener
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup of raw oats
Instructions:
------------------------------------------------------
Put all of the ingredients in a food processor and process until it is a fairly uniform crumbly sort of mixture. Shape into 1 inch wide balls and put in the refridgerator to firm up a little. If it's too crumbly to shape into balls, stir in a little more oil or honey/agave nectar and try again. This should make 10-15 balls. Serve cold or room temperature.
Additional comments:
------------------------------------------------------
You can subsitute any similar amount of dried fruit for the apricots. These taste like Luna Bars but tastier.
All measurements are approximate, I don't measure. :D
