Hi Hamsters, 14 mile run this past Sat. I'm not doing much this week because I pulled my calf slightly (non running related) and my hip has been bothering me a bit and I've got to get through the 20 this Sat. Then it is taper till Vegas
I'm getting excited Captain!
debatechick, great run!!! :vebo:

Hi all! New to the Hamsters! I was perusing the internet one day when by some strange force of nature I happened upon a post by SoyCreamFilling. I cannot put into words the feeling of identification I experience when reading your supportive and inspirational posts.
Today I ran 2 miles before work...even the bleak November sky could not keep me from my daily ritual. Physical activity and healthy eating have allowed me to function better in all facets of my life. I am excited to continue this journey with my fellow hamsters.

Which coast do you live on VMP?
I'm supposed to run 20 tomorrow but the top of my left foot has been swollen since last Sunday. It doesn't hurt but it barely fits into my shoe. What is up with that? I'm afraid of what tomorrow will bring...

First time posting my workouts. I have been sick on and off for the past two months - was diagnosed with shingles one week before the 10k race I was training for! :( It shot my immune system and it has been one cold after another with some bronchitis thrown in. Anyways, it seems like I have finally licked it all and I am looking to get back on track.
Tuesday - taught cycle class
Wednesday - weight lifting class
Thursday - taught back to back cycle classes (wooza! was I hurting!)
Saturday - 2 mile run with my running group. They did four, I turned around at the mile marker. First time running in two months, I sounded like a 90 yr. old asthmatic! But I did it!! :hamster: Oh, and then I went letterboxing with some friends and we hiked about 4 miles! It was a beautiful day here in Central New York! :sunny:

On the west coast captain. Born and raised in Long Beach and can't imagine living anywhere else!
Ran down to seal Beach for breakfast with my mom, a little Sunday tradition. Beautiful by the beach...
