November 5 is not only Guy Fawkes' day. It is also a remembrance day.
Four years ago today, the courageous and dedicated animal activist, Barry Horne, died after repeated hunger strikes had damaged his body too greatly. He died so that animals could live.
May he rest in blessed peace.
For those who do not know Barry Horne, you can refer to this website:

*wonders if this will become another ALF debate*

I really hope not.
But still. Rest in Peace.
If anyone comes to this thread and insults his memory, it will show them in a bad light. This is a thread entitled "in memoriam" and such threads deserve respect. So we will see people's true colours if they come here and play their loud music in a place where someone's memory is being honoured quietly by those who wish to bow their heads while they remember this great man.
So I would ask anyone who wants to discuss Barry Horne in a non-remembrance way, to please open another thread somewhere else. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Obviously very dedicated and heroic in his deeds and beliefs. I heard he was mentioned in a famous bank robbers book, We Dared, as the individual that penned the book was incarcerated with Mr. Horne.
